End of the school year

Meliodas+ Ban
Casino night at the school.
Not literally. The school had an award ceremony and was now having a casino night. They just started it up this year. You weren't aloud to bet any money but, if you had enough chips at the end of the night you could get some candy. Heck you can even get mocktails made with pop.
So as you could guess, it had hyper kids. You know minus Zeldris who got so nervous over the awards that he had barfed and needed to leave to go home. However Meliodas fro some reason didn't go home. He honestly had no idea why he stayed. Maybe it was because his father wanted to make sure he was okay. Maybe not. To be honest he had no idea.
But hey, he wasn't complaining. He was winning so far. Especially against ban....who let him win every game they had against each other. After all Ban had been held back twice so he wasn't that big of a fan of school, so technically speaking he shouldn't have shown up. Yet, something made him come. No one had a clue except for him. As fast as everyone need to be concerned he came for bragging rights when in reality he came for Meliodas.
He came for his friend. Or as Jyugo and Uno liked to call him, Ban's straight lover.
Star+Marco
Marco had been dragged to Star's school for casino night. He of course lost all his chips within seconds. Yet, he stayed, for her. And honestly he wasn't regretting it.
He had made friends with this boy named Donatello who was taking Spanish even though they were in Canada. They practiced speaking Spanish to each other back and forth for a while. The whole thing just made him feel so welcomed here.
Things only got better as more kids slowly joined in.
Star meanwhile was playing black jack with her friends. They were smiling sitting in the corner before glancing over at little Altin. His dad's had brought him and Arcann has him snuggled close to his chest, where the baby was being cooed over by the principal of all people.
"Do you think things are gonna get better or worse?" Star asks slowly. Her friends slowly looked up.
"What do you mean by that?" Kyle asks looking up. Star sighed looking down.
"Things go right for a long time and get worse, then better then worse. It's how it's always been me...everything seems to be going well and...I can't help but worry about a few years from now....honestly..."she mumbled before taking a sip of her cocktail.
"Things change star. It's the nature of reality. One can only hope I doesn't change much but, it will. Yet, hope helps most of us stay close to each other and keep us going at times..." Morgana spoke up as her girlfriend pulled her chair closer.
"What does hope have to do with anything?"
"Well when things go bad people hope for a better life. When that happens they work harder and achieve goals or they try to find ways to help themselves and sometimes that means cling to your friends...you know now that I say it out loud it makes no sense." Morgana sighed.
"No no. I get what you mean." Ban of all people spoke up. Everyone looked at him making him sigh.

"Things change. I mean my foster parents kicked me out and I was desperate for a reason to stay in town...so when the system shipped me here I had hope for a different way...for some reason that hope motivated me to make friends. Hope made me strive for a better future by doing hard work...and look at me now I got actual friend, a baby I help deliver who I now thin loves me  and have been getting along with a teacher that always hated me...Hope motivates people to do things even in bad times." Bad explained.
"Awww ban...you do have a heart under all that alcoholism." Crystal teased getting a snorted from her friend. They smile sitting closer together when Marco joined them.
"Hope keeps the world going though." Ban smiled just as Meliodas slammed his cards down on the table.
"I win!" Meliodas cheered happily.
"What?" Kyle snapped looking at the cards. Pink and Pidge giggled watching her friends eyes go large.
"Meliodas that's a two of clubs, a king of hearts and a blue 1 Uno card!" Kyle snapped.
"Wait have you been playing with Uno cards?" Pidge blurted out.
"Well yeah aren't they interchangeable for all cards?" Meliodas asked making Pidge face palmed and got star laughing. Crystal just smirked leaning on her girlfriends shoulder as they watched the two argue.
What ever happened in the future hopefully it was for the better of this friendship.

Galen didn't reply. He didn't what to. He knew what he did was childish

StarKiller-...yes. Nico saw me freak and now all my band mates are coming up to check on me later..might need a lot of popcorn and snacks.
Dancing queen- homemade popcorn and three bags of chips r coming with me now lol
