You loved your quiet life. You loved to stay in and curl up to read a good book. You were content with your mundane weekends. Sometimes you'd watch a movie with takeout, other times you'd just sleep in. It's not like you didn't have friends. It's just that you didn't care to go out with them all that much, and that wasn't necessarily a bad thing. You loved quality time to yourself. Your fridays were for you; but somehow, someway, this friday was different.

"Hey y/n," you hear a coo from the other end of the line,

"What do you want Peach?" you deadpan as you cut her off, you've heard this tone of voice time and time again.

"No need to be so mean. I just said hello." You could hear her pout through the phone.

"I'm guessing you didn't disturbed my friday evening just to say hello." At this point in time you could guess what was about to come out her mouth, out of your entire group of friends she was the most predictable.

"Anyways, what I called to ask was if you'd come with me to a skate park. Mario is going with his friends and wants me to come, but I don't know anybody there. So I invited you, but since you're such a homebody with nothing better to do then to sit on your ass all day, I know you'd say no." I could hear her huff faintly before waiting for my rebuttal.

Suddenly the words I was going to spit back got caught in my throat.

Do I always say no when she asks me out? After a minute of thought I realized I couldn't recall a single time I said yes to going out with her. Who knows? It might be fun? I reasoned with myself.

"Fine, I'll come with you."

"Typical, you're always- WAIT YOU'LL COME?" Peach shouted through the line.

"The fact that you patronized me makes me want to change my mind." I squinted my eyes, even though I couldn't see her.

"If you change your mind, consider this friendship over." She hissed.

"With such a tempting offer, I just might have to change my mind." I responded in the sweetest voice I could muster.

"Suck a dick."

"You first." A smile tugged on the corners of my lips. "Anyways, who else is going?" I questioned.

"His brother."

~

"Luigi, I'm telling you, she's the one."

I nod my head in agreement as I watch my brother turn into mush for the seventh time today.

" 'S she really all that and a bag of chips?" I ask, my thick Italian accent making its appearance known

"She's all that and more, I'd do anything for her." Mario gushed out "I think I might even wanna marry her."

Mario continued to babble as I tuned him out. His voice slowly turned into background noise. My eyes started wandering to find something, anything, more interesting than this repetitive conversation. Then something caught my eye, or rather, someone.

Her black yoga pants flared out starting at her calves and hugged her thighs and ass. She wore a white fitted turtleneck under a baggy coffee coloured zip up. She accessorized with a silver necklace and matching small hoops. All while a white tote hung off her shoulder and shoes matching her hoodie adorned her feet. Her hair was left out, her (insert hairstyle of your choice) looked flawless, not a hair out of place.

I ogled some more until a blonde beside her (maybe a friend) called out in my direction and started to make a beeline towards me, the gorgeous woman in tow.

"HEY BABY!" I heard Mario shout, and suddenly I was reminded once again of his presence.

"Hey babe!" The blonde replied out of breath, panting as she reached her destination.

The pretty girl stared at her silently with a fairly neutral expression.

"Y/n, say hi." The girl who I assumed to be Mario's girlfriend judging by the way she clinged on to his arm, nudged.

The girl winced then sighed quietly, closing her eyes and rubbed the bridge of her nose for a second. Then she looked at us with tired eyes through her eyebrows. "Hey, my name's Y/n."

"And you're Luigi, right?" Her friend(Peach I think her name was?) asked,

"Mario told you about me?" I question in a friendly tone,

"All good things, don't worry-"

"Hey Peach, don't you think they should get to know each other?" Mario asked in a tone I've heard all before, he looks at me making a facial expression that's nudging us to leave.

I turned my head to face Y/n.

"Hey Y/n, how about I teach you how to skateboard?" I said in my most polite voice with a pleasant smile etched onto my face "What do ya say?"

Y/n studied my face with squinted eyes, obviously caught onto our plan "Ya know what? Sure." A slight smile crawled onto her face as she turned and walked away. "You coming?"

I almost didn't notice how far she gotten.

"Don't-a worry, I'm coming." I called back.

I took one more glance at my brother and his girlfriend before turning back and chasing after Y/n.

I'm not sure if Peach or whatever her name was is what Mario described, but I know for sure that Y/n is all that and a bag of chips.
