Episode 31

*three days later*

I was discharged today from the hospital because I was healing quite rapidly. I just had to maintain my health and make sure that I wasn't straining myself too much. For the past three days, Zane had been coming to see me and he was himself once again. He smiled, laughed, and wasn't cold anymore.

*ring*

I picked up the phone.

"Hello, mom?"

"Ari. You're coming home today, right?"

"Yeah. I'm getting ready right now. Zane will send me home."

"Okay. Don't go anywhere else. I'm still worried about your safety."

"I know, I know. Anything else?"

"Get home safe."

I hanged up the phone. 

"Qiqi. Are you ready to go?"

"Yeah. Let me use the bathroom before we leave."

"Okay."

*Arissa goes into the bathroom*

*ring*

I guess that mom forgot to tell me something.

"Mom, did you forget something?"

"I forgot to tell you that even though you go back together with Zane, doesn't mean you're going to be happy. Be prepared for more fun games I have planned."

Woah. That definitely was not mom.

"Charlotte?"

"Surprise."

I hanged up the phone. This can't be good.

*Arissa gets out of the bathroom*

"Qiqi. Ready to go?"

"Zane, hold on."

"What is it? Did you forget something?"

"Just now, Charlotte called me and I think she just threatened me."

*Zane panics*

"What did she say?"

"She said that I should be prepared for more fun games she had planned. Do you know what she's talking about?"

*Zane grabs Arissa's bag and her hand*

"Let's go. I'll explain to you at home."

*James' Residence*

*mom approach Zane and Arissa*

"You're home. Come and sit."

*Zane holds Arissa's arm for support and sit on the sofa*

*maid brings water over*

"Zane, can tell me what Charlotte meant now?"

*mom sits*

"Do you two need some privacy?"

I nodded.

*Zane sits and sighs*

*mom leaves*

"Don't act impulsive when I tell you."

Why is Zane acting so suspicious? 

"I think that your accident this time was no accident, but a set up."

*Arissa gasps*

"Is...is Charlotte behind this?"
