Nightmares

Qibli x Moon

Moon was having a nightmare.
It wasn't unusual to have a nightmare it's just this particular one was... disturbing to say the least.
She was running down a narrow hall made entirely made of a black stone. As she was running she heard screams not just in her head but with her ears too.
She was starting to run slower, and slower and slower.
When she turned a corner she came into a room cut in the same black stone but you wouldn't have noticed due to the fact that the walls were covered in blood.
She looked around the room and screamed.
On the floor of the cave broken and bloody were her friends.
Then she realized she wasn't running alone as Qibli rushed over to each one.
On one side of the cave was Peril. Her pools of blood still steaming with the rest of her body which meant she hadn't been dead long.
Turtles body was laying over kinkajous as if he was trying to protect her but... Kinkajou was propped up on the wall her clothes and hair were snow white.
They were stained with her and Turtles blood.
Winters white hair was tipped with his blue blood.
Him and another girl who Moon didn't know were laying face down on the cold black floor.
Wh-Why?!? Why?!? As she took in the gruesome scene of her friends body's.
She sank slowly down to her knees tears streaming down her face. She couldn't speak in fact she wondered if she would ever speak again.
After a few minutes Qibli straightened up and turned to Moon tears were also running down his pale freckled cheeks
"Moon" he said quietly "come on we need to go we'll come back for them but we need to get out of here first"
Moon nodded knowing that staying here would only make her depressed.
As she turned to go she heard a voice in her ear or her head but she was to shaken to tell.
It's all your fault
Moon froze she'd always had these thoughts but this time was different.
It's all your fault I killed. Them you betrayed me betrayed them it's all your fault.
Moon knew that voice and once the humongous shadow over took them she knew exactly who it was even before she turned.
Darkstalker.
She would have gasped but fear had clogged her throat shut.
Then Darkstalker lashed out.
Slash
Moon turned just in time to see as if in slow motion Qibli fall on the floor blood pouring out of his body.

And all she could do was watch.

Moon bolted awake sweating and in tears still rolling down her pale cheeks.
She tried and failed to wipe all her tears away every time she got close new tears would stream out of her eyes until she gave it up as a lost cause.
After a few minutes she sat up and out her makeshift bed on the floor.
As she slowly snuck out of the room she and Luna shared I'll go get some fresh air Moon thought as she snuck down the stairs of Jereboums house.
As she walked on the sandy wooden floors and out of the house her mind replayed the nightmare.
When Moon came to the last part where Qibli died she shivered that was a terrible dream Moon thought probably the worst one yet the sand was warm but the cold feeling was still there.

After a couple hours Moon decided to head back into the house hoping to get a better sleep then before.
As she slowly made her way through the house she realized that she was going the opposite way of the stairs to her and Lunas room and the only room that way was...
Qiblis room
Moon thought this might be instinctive or maybe something els entirely all all she knew is that in the time it took her to make these thoughts she was standing outside his door.
The door to Qiblis room was slightly ajar so Moon could peek inside.
What she saw in his room was the same weird makeshift bed that she and Luna slept on but on this bed was a tangle of messy sand colored hair.
Before Moon knew she was inside his room right in front of his bed.
She looked at the pale freckled back before her and watched his back move up and down as he breathed.
His breath deep and rhythmic.
She placed her hand on his back and felt the warmth seep over her.
It was warmer then the sand outside but not uncomfortably warm it he she corrected herself.
She suddenly made the decision to go ahead and slip into bed with him this way she probably wouldn't have nightmares as she watched he turned over his chest facing her that's when she slowly lifted up the covers slightly and slipped into the bed.
As she snuggled up against his chest she found that this was probably the most comfortable place in the world.
She smiled well Moon thought I don't think it would be possible to have any nightmares here

Qibli woke up with a yawn and realized he couldn't sit up probably sleep paralysis he thought so he sat there for a few minutes and the he realized that there was something on his chest.
So not sleep paralysis then he looked down to see a bunch of ebony hair and then he panicked what.The. Actual. Heck.
His mind speed into overdrive what is she doing in my bed did something happen last night and I just can't remember I mean I know she's only 14 so I'd be a petifile if I did anything oh moons! I really really really hope I didn't do anything!!
As he panicked Moon woke up and slowly blinked her eyes then she as she looked at him she blushed a bright shade of red and mumbled " sorry" he looked at her confused "sorry for what?" he asked in he hoped was a gentle voice she looked at him turning reder by the second "s-sorry for coming into your bed w-without your permission" she stammered on " I just had a really and nightmare and wanted to come and see you so.." she trailed off
Qibli smiled "It's alright Moon I will always be here if you need me"
Moon smiled up at him " thank you Qibli"
