"Jho's dad." I said.

Deanna was surprised. "Oh wow."

"Yeah. Oh wow." I repeated what she said with a much more emphasis. "And before I got back here from the surgery, I kinda talked with him via phone call and made an impression to him."

"What impression?"

"I uhm.. That time we talked, he was saying to me that he wants the best and that he'll definitely go with number 1 company. At that time, it was the verge of Mr. Roger's proposal, and I was certain that he'll go with my company, so I kinda give Jho's dad hints then and there that we were the number 1 archi firm here in New York."

"Oh."

"Yeah. And now I lost Mr. Roger. I'm not sure if he'd still go with my company. Knowing that Faith now is a certain number one."

"He knows you. I mean that should give you an edge parin."

"I had an edge on Mr. Roger, but still it went to Faith's."

"Yeah cause you give it up." She looked at me with a meaningful stare before speaking again. "Well, she just lost another top agent." She pointed at herself. "So.."

I looked at her with an idea. "Unless not."

"Huh?" She asked.

"If she would knew that I employed you, knowing a big client is coming, she'll know somethings' up and she won't back down. No. I need you to be there. Still in her company."

"Why?"

"This client means a lot to me."

"Cause it's Jho's dad?"

"No, because this project, it would make my company stand alone for God knows how long."

"And you know that Faith wouldn't back down on that. Never."

"Yeah."

"And if you got this, you could stop eyeing for potential client, and Faith could leave you alone."

"Yeah. Potentially."

"Why do you guys wanted the sick person to be the spy. I mean..."

We laughed.

"Sorry. I'm not gonna ask you naman to get proposals and stuff. I just need someone to tell me if she have had hands on Mr. Maraguinot's project."

"I'm in. It makes no sense, but I wanted to see that person crash and burn."

"No, Deanna. No crashing and burning, okay? I'm not that kind of person."

"Yeah, you're right I'm sorry."

"Just continue your work and if there is something that I might need to know, PERTAINING that project. Tell me. Nothing more, nothing less. No extra curricular." I emphasized that word.

"Roger that."

Her phone pinged.

"It's Daisy. Our BOD wants to throw a victory party tomorrow night. Cause of Mr. Roger's project."

"Okay."

"I'm going, and I have an idea."

Came the night of the party, Deanna purposely went there late. The party started at 9pm and she went like 10pm.

"Deanna." Daisy called her. "I thought you won't come. I heard you got promoted. Congratulations."
