Chapter Two

Through the hustle and bustle of the foreign Japanese airport, a young red haired girl burst out of the the crowd and in to the fresh air like the least graceful butterfly you could ever imagine struggling to break free of the cocoon of strangers, and landed directly on her face.

Oh well, she thought, nothing can ruin my day anyways, I'm finally going to see Kyoya for the first time in years! And with a dorky smile on her face, the clumsy girl stood up and dusted herself off, then headed in the direction her IPhone's GPS told her to.

After several hours getting lost repeatedly because Apple Maps sucks baguettes, Scarlet found herself walking up a winding driveway that led up to the extravagant house that had lingered in the back of her memory for so long.

She finally made it to the intimidating door and lifted the knocker, but before she could let it drop the door was swept open and Scar nearly fell on her face for the second time that day.

A woman in a maid outfit was the culprit behind the door stunt. She smiled sweetly and greeted the flustered girl, "Hello darling, can I help you?"

"Erm, I'm here to see Kyoya.." she replied, still fairly embarrassed about her most recent act of clumsiness, though no one important had seen it.

"Ah, I don't think he's accepting guests at the moment, do you have an appointment?"

"Appointment?" True, she hadn't exactly called beforehand, but they wouldn't refuse her would they? "No I don't have an appointment but could you tell him it's an emergency?"

The maid looked Scarlet over, not so subtly and tutted, "Ill see what I can do sweetie, but I can't promise you anything. Please wait here"

So Scar waited on the doorway of the mansion for about five minutes before the door swung open once again, but this time she was ready and dodged another accident by stepping back.

"Who are you?" A deep and tired sounding voiced questioned her, and sent a shiver of fear down her spine. This man's voice radiated power. The kind of power that could get you thrown into the deepest darkest prison cell if you even got on his wrong side. "Well, I don't have all day..."

"Ah, crap yeah... wait? You don't remember me? I don't think I've changed that much, this is slightly awkward. But umm... It's Scar-"

"Okay" he interrupted Scar's rambling, "Whoever you are, you're obviously not important. Now please leave before I got security to escort you off the premises" He sighed and ran a hand through his raven hair, then sighed tiredly before slamming the door in her face.

Shit, I knew I was rambling too much, but he really didn't remember me. I guess I better find a cozy bench to spend the night on. He'll have to remember me soon, after all, we'll be in the same school starting tomorrow!
