Lucy's POV:
I walk up to the auditorium during the orientation to my junior year of high school, nervously tapping my notebooks and binders. A new school is already a scary experience, especially during one of the hardest years of high school! Taking all IB classes is no easy feat, but I wanted to challenge myself! As I hurry up the steps, my brown hair swishing around my shoulders, my clumsy brain makes a big fat small peanut brain mistake, and I bump into the wind, my books falling onto the pavement. As I reached down to pick them up, my cheeks aflame, I notice petite hands softly touching mine, helping me.
"Hey, are you alright?" The girl asked. Her brown hair fell loosely around her shoulders, her brown orbs shining brightly. She wore a cream-colored t-shirt with flowers on it, tucked into cuffed jeans. She wore moon earrings that shined under the hot California sun, and her smile seemed to make time stop.
"UuuuuhHHH y-yeah! Thank you so much, I really appreciate it. I'm Lucy, Lucy Norwich, by the way. It's so nice to meet you!" I say, slowly gaining confidence as I talked to this angel.
"No problem. And it's nice to meet you! I'm Emma Yellow, and I'm apart of the theatre program here! You might've seen me in some of the posters around here, I play the lead in the upcoming musical" She said. As she passed me my last notebook, she held on an extra second, so our fingertips would brush an extra second. She stared into my eyes, holding my gaze. Time seemed to stop, oh my gosh she was so gorgeous. I could feel my heartbeat. She was definitely my type. And it was OBVIOUS she was a lesbian or at least bi. Cuffed jeans and straight? Nice try.
"Anyways, come see opening night this weekend. I'll be looking specifically for you. And, here's my number." she said, passing me a slip of paper with her digits. As she slid it in between my fingers, she leaned in, whispering, "hit me up... whenever"
As she walked away, I felt my heart race. Did she just... HIT on me? Whatever all I need to do is quickly grab my paperwork then leave to start my first day at a new martial arts studio. I
I stepped into the auditorium but was immediately shocked by the sheer number of people in there. At least 200, all my fellow students in my grade. It was overwhelming, but nothing my extroverted self couldn't handle. As I walked towards the main table, I greeted people, telling them my name and saying hi with a large grin on my face. Once I saw the table, I could feel my audible gasp as I lay my eyes on the girl in the middle. She was on the taller side, with curly brown hair, smooth skin, brown eyes, and a gorgeous figure. She held a large smile on her face, and you could immediately tell she was one of the most well-known girls at the school. I mean, who COULDNT be attracted to her, she was stunning!!
"Hey, I'm Ilaria Assprofess, are you new to this school?" She said, smiling at me.
"Yeah, I'm Lucy, nice to meet you!" I said, shaking her hand and giving her a warm smile. She handed me the paperwork needed, and told me what to do and what to sign. Several times I had to remind myself to pay attention because I couldn't help but fall into a gay GAY PANIC. Every time her fingertips brushed mine my heart would stop, and I would lock eyes with her. Whenever she caught me, she would look at me fondly and give me a small smile. Sadly, however, our exchange could not be as long as I wanted, and soon I had to leave. As I walked away, I turned over the packet to see her bubbly handwriting saying, "txt me at (xxx)-xxx-xxx cutie! ur exactly my typeeee ;)". OH MY GOD. Am I living in a shitty Wattpad fanfiction??? This does not seem real.
4 hours later. swag
I walked into the taekwondo studio, a crisp white uniform on with my white belt tightly wound around my waist. My mom said I should begin to take classes to defend myself against the piece of garbage that is the 𝓶𝓪𝓵𝓮 𝓼𝓹𝓮𝓬𝓲𝓮𝓼. As I stepped into the studio, the smell of sweat and mats hitting my nose, I noticed a class that was about to begin. I rush in, bowing to enter the dojo and bow into class. As class starts, I cannot help but to notice the girl leading the class. She is of medium height with a soft face and brown bangs that frame her Asian eyes. She stands tall, with an authoritarian stance as she bellows out orders to the students.
During the water break, she comes up to me.
"Hey, I have never seen you around before, you must be a new student! Hi, I'm Ms. Lawton, but outside of the studio you can call me Yanni" she said, winking at me.
"H-hi, I'm Lucy, it's amazing to meet you!" I say, stuttering a bit. Damn, curse my stupid quirky speech impediment!!
"You too! Would you want to be my partner for self-defense? There's an odd number of students so.." She said a falter in her voice as if she was nervous... I agreed, and we began to practice some basic takedowns. As she demonstrated a hip throw, she threw me down onto the mat, albeit softly and slowly. As she hovered over my face, her mint breath cooling my blushing cheeks, she slowly leaned down, whispering, "meet me after class".
After class, I waited patiently as she said goodbye to the students. Finally, she looked at me, grabbing my elbow to guide me into the grand master's office. She quickly looked at me, anxiety across her face as she quickly thrust a paper into my hands, then said, "bye!! see you next time", pushing me out to my car. After tossing her a quick wave goodbye, I opened the paper to reveal... her number??!!?
Now THIS is weird. I've met 3 girls today, all my type, are they ALL into me?? Oh my god, what am I supposed to do about this...
