Chapter 3
"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those you mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind" - Bernard m. Baruch

"Let's go knights, let's go!" The crowd cheers as we make our way to find open seats on the bleachers overlooking the school field.
"Wait so who are we up against again?" Hunter asks we eventually find seats and sit down. He looks good in his maroon hoodie and jeans. I take a seat next to him while Nikki sits on my other side and Mason next to her.
Chlo is already on the field in her cheer uniform and Josh is busy with the team doing warm ups or whatever the hell it is they do before soccer games.
"I think South Valley High but I also have no idea." Nikki answers Hunters question. Nikki looks as good as always with her brown hair into a messy bun that probably took her forever to do and her outfit co-ordinating with the school colours of maroon and white.
I'm the first one to spot Josh. "Hey there's Josh, JOSH!!!!" Of course I'm wearing his track top that I paired with my jeans and my favourite pair of converse
He looks up as he hears his name being called and his eyes fall on me. He raises his fist in the air, sort of like waiting for a fist bump and I lift my own giving him an air bump.
I mouth good luck to him and while he just grins before turning as his name is being called.
Looks like the games about to start. "I am so glad we stopped to buy food before getting our seats." Mason says with his mouth full. He is full on school supporter mode. With red warrior lines on his cheeks and Josh's last name on his forehead.
I smile at him before turning back to the field and watch them get into position.
"Well whatever school they are from, those players sure are cute." Nikki comments, the girls' not wrong.
Mason stares at her as if she just slapped him. "And what about me? Do I look like Shrek or something?"
Nikki turns as red as a tomato but manages to stutter a response out. "Nnnooo I never said that. You're not cute. Shit I mean, no you're not ugly. What I mean is you're more than that ummm uhhh."
Mason looks quit amused at seeing her flustered. "I'm just pulling your leg Nini, I know for a fact I'm adorable." He grins at her.
She looks wide-eyed at him for a few seconds before giggling and hitting him softly on the shoulder.
"Ow! Violent much? I need this arm." He playfully glares at her.
We all know she barely hit him and he likes her too much to ever really be mad.
We hear the referees' whistle blow and we all turn to watch the game begin.

Our school won. Of course, I didn't doubt them. Our team was pretty good but I might be a bit biased because of Josh.
We're all standing in the parking lot waiting for Josh to come out of locker rooms after the game when Mason lights up a cigarette.
"Gross are you still smoking those sticks of death." Nikki scrunches her nose in disgust. Mason smirks at her with the cigarette dangling out his mouth. "You have your habits and I have mine." He then takes a long puff of the cigarette before blowing the smoke in her face.
"Eugh." She waves her hands in front of her face to get the smoke away. I shake my head at them.
Then I see Josh making his way over. "Hey here's our champ. Whoop whoop!" I shout. His wet hair sticking to his forehead showing evidence of the shower he just took.
