"Dolpha, Kurt, Chann- On me. The rest of you idiots distribute the Aconite and get ready. It's almost time" Conri had switched from calm and collected to furiously demanding in a second because everything seemed to be creeping up on them simultaneously.

Adolpha Blackwood did not know what she had been expecting; A fight maybe, at least some furiously intense yelling but as her legs powered to race alongside her brothers; her heart grew warmer with each pace they stepped toward the cold ones. It was everything Adolpha had not wanted it to be. She'd heard so many magical, heart-stopping tales of wolves imprinting; she expected pure elation to spread through her and although her centre of gravity shifted, although her heart sped in a flurry of shock... It also grew cold. Because the emotions that swept through her like a tidal wave were directed at the least likely of people.

He was so stunningly gorgeous in a way that she never thought she could find a vampire. His immaculate white skin and equally pale blond hair were a vision of perfection to her and everything- even down to the cold redness of his piercing orbs- was beautiful, as if carved in the eyes of love like a Greek statue. He was just as cold as one as he stared at the gaggle of wolves that erupted in a makeshift, unkept fashion from the trees with furious demand in their eyes and steady anticipation in their veins.

"Aro, friend" Conri clipped, hair wild from the run and eyes darting every so often from the slowly appearing moon; to his sister whose face had become one of stone, to the men dressed like shadows in the meadow they now stood within. "What can we do for you? I'm sorry we don't have much time for formalities- you see." he breathed attempting to keep his voice collected but the time was fast approaching and the anger his brothers directed to the vampires was setting him on edge.

Only then did Adolpha allow her vision to sweep across the three handsome men and their entourage. They were clearly vampires as they shimmered in the moonlight, eyes pooled like the blood that they so often consumed though the deep 'V' pendants that clasped around their necks brought slight warmth to her.

They were the Volturi, the most beautifully feared and stern coven of the cold ones- though the ones the Blue Pack had the most appreciation for. They collectively had a treaty, signed and set in stone over decades and it was because of this treaty which disallowed harm to befall either side- That Conri now frowned at the sight of them there on the most dangerous of nights. Adolpha had never had the opportunity to meet them and as she determinedly kept her vision away from the one that her body urged to protect; she wished she hadn't met them still.

"We have come for what we are owed" Aro blinked his starling ruby eyes and Adolpha knew that her own ones narrowed at the sight of it. He was so arrogantly calm though she knew not of what they discussed. Shifting her eyes over to her brother, she found him staring at her already. They had maybe ten minutes before the transition began and despite knowing he had to act fast, Conri felt his mind marching slowly.

"You've chosen an interesting time to do so" Adolpha clipped in, aware of the way Chann hovered over her. The sight of him lingering beside her just made her angry, as if she would require the protection of him.

"Well," Aro beamed, eyes assessing her in an unblinking fashion that should have been unnerving- though she only found to be painfully childlike. "The time came and we supposed you would not mind the intervention on your... Gathering." he finally blinked once. "We would much like to see your... Transition"

"Well, I would say you have about two minutes until that happens" Kurt breathed, eyes pinned on the moon and the tensed muscles in his body were very apparent as he waited in anticipation.

"Aro, Dear friend. Please, we would gladly receive you-- At any other time. If you wait until the morning, we can discuss what you are here for gladly. Only now, I implore you to leave these woods before it is too late. The pack-" he hesitated. "We have new wolves with us tonight, they will not be as restrained as us elders, I cannot guarantee they will abide by the terms of the contract."

"Chann, get out of here" Adolpha clipped, her blood pulsing with anticipation and he looked down at her with wide eyes. "Now" and he vanished. Chann was not the most careful when he was turned and Adolpha felt her body sizzling with determination to protect the blond man who she now recognised as the vampire king.

"I am certain we shall be able to protect ourselves" Aro beamed, clapping once and the three remaining wolves exchanged glances before simultaneously grunting in slight pain and falling to their knees, hand slamming into the earth in near-identical expressions of pain as the moon reached its peak.

"This is an idiotic idea, Aro. We should kill them now- While they are weak" Caius piped up, grin glittering demonically as he watched the wolves grunt and convulse only slightly. Though screeches could be heard shooting through the trees like bullets from the distance.

"If you are here to murder us as we transform- You shall be greatly disappointed" Conri hissed before cringing slightly. "No war will take place this evening. Kill us now and you shall be met with no resistance. You are now protected by wolf law" he demanded before slamming his hand into the earth slightly aggressively- ignorant to the looks of confusion. Of course, Corni knew of his sisters newest development- How could he not be?

It was in the next moment that the screaming stopped and an eery silence fell upon them as the Volturi met eyes with three wolves for the very first time.
