"Hello. Malungkot ka nanaman?" Sage asked when he got to find me sitting on the lounge. I was so tired because of working at the farm. Feeling ko I'm tanned now because of the heat. Gosh.

"Why am I always sad in your eyes? Do I look like I'm sad?" I rolled my eyes at him. I'm not sad, just irritated. Sino ba namang hindi? I don't get Levi. He's sending me mix signals. If we didn't talk about playing with each other that night, maybe I would've already thought that he likes me!

"Oo kaya. Tingnan mo 'yung mata mo. Hindi naman mata 'yan ng masaya," He said pointing at my eyes and tried to look away because his finger is touching my face.

"I'm not happy but that doesn't mean that I'm already sad, okay? I'm just in the middle," Pageexplain ko. I'm always like that, just neutral. Alam mo 'yon? It sucked actually but it's okay, I've lived like this since then. Masaya lang ata ako kapag kasama ko ang mga friends ko.

"Bakit ang sungit mo?" Napapikit ako ng mariin dahil sa kakulitan niya. Gosh! This is the exact type of person I hate!

"Talkshow ba 'to? Hindi ka nauubusan ng tanong eh," He just laughed at me and I slowly shook my head. Ewan ko din kung bakit ko 'to kinakausap. I'm just feeling lonely right now. I miss my friends but they're all busy because of their trips with their family. I wish I could do that too but fuck family. Wala na ata ako 'non.

"Huy, may nagtext sayo oh." Sage pointed my phone that was just on my side.

"Ever heard of the word privacy?" Tanong ko and I checked the message. It was from an unknown number but I already knew who it was.

Belated happy birthday, my one and only daughter. I'm sorry I messaged you five days late because I've been so busy with work for the past days and I really can't contact you with your old number. Thanks to Levi that he gave me your new number. Be good there, okay? See you after summer.

Sino pa ba ang tatawag sa akin ng daughter? It was my Dad, obviously. Ang lala naman kung mom ko 'yun, isipin mo? May phone kaya siya sa taas? I miss her.

"Oh. Ayan. 'Yan na yung mukha ng malungkot talaga. 'Wag mo na ideny. Nakakapangit!"

I aggresively shook my head and rolled my eyes at Sage. It was true, though. Bigla akong nalungkot. He didn't even ask me if I was doing okay here. I mean, I know we didn't have the most loving father and daughter relationship, it's more like a chaos between us. He being the workaholic father and me being the rebel daughter. But he's still my dad and I want him to care for me but he just can't.

When I clicked send, I felt Sage halted from his seat. Lumingon ako sa paligid and there he was. He was eyeing us for a moment but then decided to look away and go straight to the kitchen.

"Nakakakaba talaga kapag si Señorito na 'yung nandiyan," Sage said while caressing his chest.

"Why?" I asked because I remember Oli saying that Levi was really good to his workers kaya naman ganoon nila respetuhin si Levi.

"Nakakatakot kaya siya. Minsan pakiramdam ko kakainin niya ako ng buhay eh," I laughed. I wanted to say 'Kung may kakainin man siya, ako lang 'yon' but quickly erased the thought because Levi walked out from the kitchen holding a bowl of I don't know and to my fucking surprise, he sat on the couch across us in the lounge.

"What are you guys talking about?" My forehead creased when he talked and smiled... that is really fucking scary.

"Wala kang pakialam," I shot back and his brows arched. I can see on my peripheral view that Sage was a little shock on how I answer their fucking Señorito, really.
