I enter my room and quickly ditch the clothes I am wearing and step into the warmth of the shower. Washing away the dirt and the emotions from the crime scene.
It never is a pleasant experience to see a corpse of a person, who had a life of their own only a few hours ago.
"Why is everyone in such a rush to stay indoors tonight??" I inquire as I dry my hair and sit in front of the mirror.
"The first snow of the year is approaching." she takes a deep breath before continuing "When she flies over the horizon, the spread of her wings can't be fathomed. She blurs the shine of the sun and heightens the shadows of the moon. The power she carries within, wants to be controlled by everyone but careful you must be for one can't own her, without facing their deepest fears." Kazume says with a dramatic sigh with both her hands in front of her spreading out. "That's how the prophecy goes like." She finishes braiding my hair and comes to stand in front of me.
Kazume seems to have taken a keen liking to my unruly hair.
"So...you are telling me this creature you speak of...exists? It sure sounds like a myth to me."
"It is true! Her cries of despair can be heard from the depths of the forest, but it's best believed to ignore it...it's dangerous to seek her, for it is said that those screams, can drive you to the edge of sanity." Kazume says anxiously.
"I don't know I guess I'm just one of those, who doesn't believe in things unless I witness it with my own senses." I say
I can hardly believe that a creature like that exists. Especially living within the borders of the Denners territories. Either this mythical creature is too powerful to be controlled by the Denners which is highly unlikely, or it may be a myth made by people to make their kids go to sleep early.
"You can hear her for yourself, very faintly. Nevertheless, you can hear her. She is believed to come around the first snow every year. When you hear her faint cries you'll feel her pain. I don't know how...but you just do!" Kazume insists.
"Ok Kazume...let's say, I believe you...do you happen to know what she is mourning??"
"She lost her master, in the Great War or so they say..." Kazume tells me as she pulls the loose strands framing my face behind my ear.
"The Great war...we all sure did lose a lot to it." I say with a heavy heart.
"You should get some rest now Lylah."
"I would very much like that. Thank you for braiding my hair" I say with a yawn.
"By the way, did you find the killer Lylah?" Kazume asks me, before dimming the lights.
I look at her and recall the day in a flash of a moment.

Flashback
"Guys...look what I found." Ohadh says bringing our attention to him.
Noah, I and Ohadh knew it was a wolf for sure.
"But why would one of us kill humans?! I don't understand!" Ohadh remarks through our mind link.
The three of us had climbed the tree, inspecting it for any trace the killer had left.
"Did you guys find something??" Valerie asks us from below.
"Nothing, other than the drag marks of the victim's nails." Noah swiftly answers.
"Do take samples of any remains in the drag marks after you guys are finished up there." Valerie informs us.
"We'll be looking around the area for more clues." Ashler tells us as he, Valerie, and Cole spread out around the area of the murder scene.
