I can't believe I am doing this, I can't believe I am actually back in Melbourne ready to confront Jai Brooks about our child. Yes, I know I sound a little crazy right now but I didn't even tell him that he got me pregnant never mind that I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl almost a year ago today. I'm panicking so bad, I never told anybody who the Dad was! My excuse was that it was just a stupid drunken one night stand with a stranger, which they all believed. They being my family and friends.

My brother is the only one that knows and thats because he was kind of there. Obviously not in the room but we had a party when I last visited Melbourne and Jai and the rest of the boys where invited and seeing as we where very drunk we had..sex and my brother walked in on us in the morning; covered up but so obviously naked. I obviously denied having sex but when he found me crying in the bathroom, pregnancy test in hand he knew that his guess was correct.

*NOW*

"Are you sure you want to do this?" my brother Sam, checks for the third time as he drives us back from the airport , "You really don't have to!"

"I do" I reply , "Mia deserves to know who her father is and he deserves the option whether to keep in touch or not!"

"I know but he will be so angry that you didn't tell him Jasmine" He explains to me, what is he hiding?

"I thought you wanted me to tell him?" I ask frowning a little and crossing my arms in a pissed off manor

"I do but well...he has a girlfriend now" He admits not managing to meet me in the eye as we pull up to some traffic lights

"So?" I scoff, "I don't have feelings for him, I'm doing this for Mia"

"Well I where just saying" he replies calmly, indicating right and driving towards his apartment block which I haven't been too in about two years.

"Here we are" he grins as he parks up , "You carry Mia and I'll get your luggage"

"Thank you" I smile back as I step out into the Australian heat and carry a sleeping Mia to the front door of the apartment block

The stairs up to Sams apartment where still as dirty as they where before; empty food packets and muddy foot prints. His apartment however was still the opposite; clean and modern. I know what your thinking if Sam was so clean and could afford to keep his apartment modern why would he stay somewhere so grotty? Well the answer is he prefers to be able to afford expensive clothes and items for his apartment than pay for an expensive apartment block. Which I would totally prefer too.

"I set up a cot and drawers for Mia" Sam tells me as I follow him to my room, both mine and Mia's luggage balancing in his hands, "Is this okay for you?"

I look around the plain white room which had a double bed, a built in wardrobe, two bedsides table, a block of drawers and a cot which was placed at the bottom of my bed. It was perfect.

"It's perfect, thank you Sam" I smile as I place Mia in her new Cot making sure I didn't wake her and turning to my brother, "I think I'm going to have to go shopping though"

"How come?" he asks just as his phone starts right ringing,

"Hello?...oh hey, what's up?...Well my sisters over... I don't think she's feeling too good...I dunno I'll ask her and ring you back k?..See you"

"Who was that?" I ask

"Jai" he swallows, "he wants to know if we want to go to a party him and the boys are throwing"

"Jai Brooks as in Mia's Dad?" I check, he nods, "Oh well you can always go? I don't care, I'll have a night settling in"

"Are you sure?" he asks raising an eyebrow to my changed attitude to partying from when I last saw him.

"Yeah, positive" I grin, " I'm tired anyways!" I look at my sleeping daughter and then let out a small smile, I would prefer to be at home with her than out getting drunk any way of the week. I just hope Jai feels the same.
