Manik fall down and everyone looked shocked. Manik slowly raised his eyes only to see the most dreadful scene infront of him. Nandini standing at his place with a bullet shot in her chest.
Man: nandini
Shouting her name he ran towards her before she could touch the floor he took her in his arms.
Man (cupping her face): nandini open your eyes.
Faintly she opened her eyes and with trembling hand touched manik's face and whispered.
Nan: I...I.. love you manik
Saying this she closed her eyes.
Man (shouting): nandini open your eyes you can't do this to me. Open your eyes dammit.
Aryaman came towards them and patted manik's shoulder.
Arya: bhai we need to take bhabhi to hospital.
Manik nodded and picked her up and arya came with the car. Manik sat at the back seat with nandini in his lap and arya drove them to hospital
In the car manik keep telling nandini to open her eyes.
Soon they reached hospital and manik pick her up and ran inside. The doctor came towards them with some nurse who came with the stretcher.
Manik made nandini lie on it. Before doctors could say something manik cuts them.
Man: treat her doctor
The doctor nodded scared from his authoritive tone and took nandini inside operation theater without any questions.
Manik sat with a thud on the nearby bench taking his face in his palm crying badly.
Arya came inside and saw manik sitting with a dejected face. He kept his hand on his shoulder. Manik looked up and made a pleading face.
Man: arya she had to come back to me. Usse bol na wapas aa jaye mere pass teri toh har baat maanti hai na.
Arya: bhai sambhalo khud ko kuch nahi hoga bhabhi ko bhagwan par bharosa karo.
Saying this he sat beside him.
It was almost 2 hours since the doctors took nandini inside raj bebe along with Murthys were also present there. Manik was still sitting with a blank face without saying anything.
Soon the door of operation theater opened and doctor came outside seeing whom manik immediately got up.
Man: doctor how's nandini?
Doctor sighs.
Doc: I am sorry Mr. Malhotra but she is still critical. Unko goli heart ke bahaut pass lagi hai and she had lost enough blood. Humne blood dia hai aab bas unki body kaise respond karti hai we have to see. Agar unhe agle 6 ghante mein hosh nahi aaya toh we can't say anything.
Manik listening the doctor hold him from his collar.
Man: what do you mean you can't say anything? You are a fucking doctor you had to make her alright samjhe aap.
Arya and raj hold manik from behind.
Raj: sambhalo manik khud ko.
Arya: ha bhai calm down they are doing their work.
Raj: I am sorry doctor I hope you will understand.
Doctor nodded and went inside again.
Manik was lost. The tears were dired. He without listening anything went outside of hospital and was just roaming on an empty road.
