Part 1: At Tia Sandra's Motel

ANDY
Tia, tell me, my mom . . . did she-

ELENA
Andy . . .
Andy's phone rings a few times
Aren't you going to answer that?

ANDY
Oh . . . right
She glances at her phone. Robert is calling her.
Excuse me
Andy steps outside and answers her phone.
Hey, guess wh-

ROBERT [On the phone]
Andy where the hell are you?
Robert winces, still in pain after his Morphine injection

ANDY
I'm at the motel, remember?

ROBERT
Motel . . . what motel? Andy what are you talking about?

ANDY
I'm at Tia Sandra's motel, didn't I tell you?

ROBERT
No, you told me - you promised - that you would be by my side when I woke up.

ANDY
Oh my God, Robert I forgot. I'm so-

ROBERT
They gave me Morphine, Andy!

ANDY
Why would they-

ROBERT
Because you weren't there! I expected my wife to be there for me, to my surprise, she wasn't. I woke up in pain and my wife wasn't there, but Morphine was.

ANDY
Robert, I-
Tia Sandra steps outside

SANDRA [Speaking Spanish]
Andrea, you've been out here for a while, is everything okay?
Andy turns to face her aunt.

ANDY [To Robert]
I've got to go, see you soon.

SANDRA [Speaking English]
Who were you talking to?

ANDY
That was my husband, he just had surgery.

SANDRA
Do you have to go so soon? You just got here.

ANDY
I'll come back in the morning. I'm not even sure that I want to speak to . . . Elena, anyway.

SANDRA
What am I supposed to tell her? Andrea, do you have any idea how long she's waited for this moment?

ANDY
She doesn't get to disappear for 20 years then show up after my father dies.
Andy takes a deep breath
Look, I'll come back later, I just . . . can't be here right now.

SANDRA
Wait . . . Pruitt's dead?
Andy didn't hear her, she stormed off the patio then got in her car and drove away.
