Alfred the Dragon
Dragon named Alfred sat in a tree
singing "fiddle-dee-doo and fiddle-dee-dee
A Knight from the Palace walked by
hanging his head with a sigh
Alfred the Dragon sat in the middle
playing with a broken fiddle
The knight looked up and to his surprise
saw the chance for his fame to rise
"I'll kill the dragon," he said,
"I'll bring the King his head!"
The knight hit the tree with a 'pow'
Alfred the Dragon fell and said "ow!"
Alfred asked: "Who be ye to trouble me?
I've taken on men much fiercer than ye"
The Knight smirked, a dastardly smile
Not caring all the while
"I be ye death, o' dragon," The Knight replied
"Fine," Alfred said, "You'd look better fried!"
The Knight said: "No Dragon escapes me!"
Alfred laughed with glee
Alfred was sure as day
the Knight wouldn't get away
The Knight pulled out a magic wand
and lifted it in his hand
The wand began humming
Poor Alfred never saw it coming
