8. Unconscious

"It's poison"

Everyone was shocked to hear the news. Sarada started to tear up, with Boruto's unconscious body on her lap, she was angry at herself. She felt useless. If she had been more careful and stronger, Boruto would have never gotten hurt. If she was strong like him, he might still be conscious, beside her, asking her if she was okay. She felt guilty.

Naruto noticed this, and tried to comfort her, but she just outbursts "How can you stay so calm, your son might die!" Sarada cried. Naruto was shocked. She had never seen her like that, since the journey, they had, against Shin Uchiha. She only saw her like that when she found out Karin was her biological mother, which was proven to be false. It showed Naruto that his son really meant a lot to Sarada. "I believe that Boruto can go through this. He's strong, he will not give up easily" Naruto answered, still comforting Sarada.

"We should take him to Sakura in the Hospital." Sasuke said, lifting Boruto's body. He showed no emotions. They agreed, Naruto summoned Shadow Clones to take the rogues they faced earlier.

They arrived at the Hospital. "Sakura!" Naruto shouted through the hallway. Sakura heard it, getting out in her office, once she turned at the hallway, she saw Sasuke holding Boruto's limp body. Sakura ran towards them "What happened to him?" She asked. "He was poisoned" Sasuke replied, Sakura grabbed a gurney and placed Boruto down. She yelled at some nurses to gather in the ER, they rushed Boruto there, with Sarada and the two following, but they were stopped by Sakura at the door, stating that they wouldn't be allowed until the operation is finished.

Sarada wanted to protest, but she knew that her mom wouldn't let her. She felt guilty and weak. She thought that she was useless, that she always needed protection. She was lost in her thoughts that she didn't notice she was crying. Boruto was severely injured because of her. She loved him, but couldn't protect him.

Naruto saw her crying, he tried comforting her, telling her that it wasn't her fault, Naruto looked at Sasuke, trying to signal him to comfort his daughter. Sasuke nodded and hugged her daughter, "It's going to be fine, he's strong" Sasuke said, still hugging her, "No it's not, it's my fault he got hurt!" Sarada cried running away from the hospital, "Sarada!" She went into a forest. She stopped by a lake, she sat on the bench and cried her heart out.
