My Brothers Are Robots

CH1: You're my light and salvation

"Please take her to the safe house and protect her. Let her see the recording a day after her 20th birthday and no matter what she chooses to do never leave her side." said my father.

"Yes sir" said the three men in unison.

The man with the broadest shoulders stepped forward and held my hand. My father kneeled in front of me and patted me on the head.

"Jisoo these three guys will protect you from now on. Never leave their side and always do what they ask okay?"

I nodded my head and began to cry. Why was he leaving?

"Don't cry it'll be okay. I promise I'll try my best to come get you but if anything happens don't forget I love you."

Those were his last words after that the three men took me to the safe house and I never saw my father again.

It's been 14 years since I last saw my father and to this day I have no idea why he left but he must've had his reasons. As for the three men he left me with well it turns out they were robots. After 2 years of being with them I began getting comfortable with them and I named them. When I was finally allowed to go out people would constantly ask me who they were and since I wasn't allowed to say they were robots I began calling them my brothers.

The oldest of the three is Kim Seok Jin since he was created before any of them. He was created to be sort of the mother. He cleans and cooks as well as makes sure we're all doing alright. The second oldest is Kim Namjoon. He is the wisest and smartest of the three. No matter what we do we have to run it by him first. The youngest of the three is Kim Tae Hyung. He is street smart. He's always up to date with anything. Though they're all smart they were created with different specialties to accommodate my needs.

"Can I open my eyes now?" I asked.

"Go ahead, open them," said Seok Jin.

As soon as I opened them I saw that my brothers had prepared a surprise birthday party for me. I couldn't help but tear up a little bit. I looked up and saw the huge banner they hung up on the ceiling that read "Happy 19th birthday Jisoo". I smiled at them.

Despite my father being gone I've never once felt alone in this world thanks to them. Without the I don't know what I'd do.

"Don't be shy, make a wish and blow out the candles." Said Tae Hyung.

I laughed. It seems like he's been spending a lot of time online. I closed my eyes and began to make a wish.

"Wait we need to sing happy birthday first." Said Namjoon as he began clapping.

The three of them began singing happy birthday and clapping in unison. After they finished I proceeded to blow out the candles.

"What did you wish for?" asked Tae Hyung as he looked at me with curiosity.

"Are you stupid? She can't tell you her wish or else it won't come true." said Seok Jin.

Tae Hyung stared at him in surprise "I think I'm going to recharge." He said as he got up jokingly.

We laughed. Jin cut out a piece of cake and handed it over to me.

"I hope you like it." He said with a big smile on his face.

"Jin spent 3 hours online looking for the best cake recipe yesterday so I hope he got a really good one." Said Namjoon.

I smiled and began eating the cake. As I ate it I looked around at the three of them and couldn't help but get upset. Don't get me wrong the cake was extremely delicious but I just felt bad that I was the only one who could enjoy it.

"Are you feeling bad because we can't eat with you?" Asked Jin.

I nodded my head yes.

"Jisoo it's okay you can be honest. His cake was bad wasn't it?" Said Tae Hyung as he made a tsk noise with his mouth and snapped his fingers. He looked at Jin "See I told you we should bought a cake instead but you insisted." He said jokingly

Jin stood up "What do you mean? My cooking is amazing. I could be chef if I wanted to but if I became one I'd leave Gordon Ramsay jobless."

I laughed as they continued arguing. The whole day was full of them play fighting and Namjoon trying to stop them. It was lots of fun but all good days have to come to an end.

As I was preparing to go to sleep I heard someone knocking on my door. I opened it and saw Namjoon.

"Is something wrong?" I asked.

"I was going to show you this earlier but I didn't want to ruin the mood. I have a video you need to see." He said.

He pulled up the hologram video and to my surprise it was my dad. Is it what I think it is? But I'm not 20 yet....
