Adolpha frowned as she easily followed Felix through the cold dark corridors of the Volturi castle. And it seemed to her that the large man was trying to get her as far away from the throne room as fast as possible. Though she set the thought aside and but it down to him forgetting her human slowness as they reached a higher floor and ground to a halt; Adolpha knew she'd never be able to find the throne room again; the castle was like a labyrinth.
"It has been requested that you stay in the guest room of Master Caius' quarters" the burly man informed and she blinked in surprise as he finally opened the large door to reveal the 'quarters' which were really more of an apartment than anything else.
She knew her expression was instantly one of awe, they currently stood within a huge entrance hall of sorts, it was made of all white and gold marble and had a round table in the centre with a huge flower bouquet in the middle. All three walls of the entrance hall (Not including that which held the door) were archways, to the left arch and beyond was a humungous bedroom suite, it was an array of greys and whites, different to the entrance hall and held mainly a huge four-poster bed occupied with thousands of pillows and cushions and blankets of fur and silk. A huge chandelier hung from the ceiling above, void of even a speck of dust. And on the floor was an extravagant black and grey rug that appeared soft to look at, to the right of the bed were two doors leading to Lord knows where.
Directly opposite the entrance door, through an arch was a sitting room area full of three sofas and a golden chaise, this room was warm with reds and golds and a large flat screen tv on the wall which seemed out of place within the extravagant castle chamber, another large rug stretched across the marble floor. Through the arch to the right, in perfect view of the bed opposite was a huge mahogany desk, this one was full of papers and the room was an array of black and red with a huge leather high backed chair.
"This way please" Felix urged, never stopping and she frowned as she followed him down the small steps into the sitting room. From there, he opened a door on the right wall and ushered her in. That was where Adolpha was hit with a second wave of awe as she looked around the marvellous library. It was perhaps bigger than the office and bedroom combined and her eyes couldn't help but unconsciously sweep across the many lined bookshelves. "This is your room" Felix informed.
The door at the far end of the room opened and Adolpha blinked in shock. It was beautiful. The room was round, clearly a tower due to the windows that covered three-quarters of the white marble walls. And aligned in perfect view of the stunning Volterra city beyond was a bed impossibly larger than the one they'd seen before. It was round, white curtains billowing in the wind from the open window and she had a sudden urge to climb straight under the covers and never move again. The bedroom was clearly of a women's design, Rose embellishments covering nearly everything.
Following the soft rug across the room, she finally reached the glass window, that she soon came to realise was in fact doors, pushing them open, a large balcony revealed itself, outdoor furniture visible and she breathed in deeply, bathed in the warmth of the Italian sun as she watched the glittering city below in the distance, just beyond a beautiful array of green trees that swayed in the partial breeze.
"Please, allow me to show you everything else." Felix attempted when he noticed that she had ground to a halt and Adolpha frowned before following him back into her room, eyes only now noticing the doors in the walls. Felix opened the first to reveal a bathroom that followed the theme of white marble and roses and the next showed a wardrobe that was the same size as the bathroom itself and Adolpha was positive; she would never have the clothes to fill it. "You are to remain within your room, though you have access to the library. Allow me to strongly advise against entering Master Caius' personal rooms, he doesn't take kindly to invasions of privacy. Food and any other things you may require will be delivered regularly and I'm certain you will be hearing from Caius soon."
"I was under the impression that I would be staying as far away from Caius as humanly possible?" She finally spoke up, arms crossing slightly over her chest and Felix' lips drew into a tight line.
"Circumstances have changed. I am positive Caius will be joining you shortly and you may question him yourself. Though, I am now off to guard duty. If you require anything, anything at all you must merely call and someone will come. Is there anything I can get for you as of now?" The large vampire blinked and she smiled softly.
"No, I am fine. Thank you, Felix"
"You're welcome Lady Adolpha. Please, make yourself at home." And then he promptly vanished and the dark-haired girl breathed out a sigh as she assessed the room she would spend the next eternity within. It was certainly beautiful.
