That was a rainy Tuesday. The rain had not stopped since the first day of class until that month of August. Some of the elementary students of Maligaya were having a hard time walking to school at that rainy season because of the slippery pilapil and the muddy road.

Mei, a 5th grade student in section A, was enjoying the sound of every raindrop on her umbrella. Meanwhile, Susan was playing with the puddles and would mischievously extra kick it whenever someone passed by and would pretend innocent when got caught. Of course, Mei joined her.

"Hoy, ang epal nyo ah! Banukin ko kayo dyan!" complained the student whose pants got wet becuase of them. Susan dropped her umbrella and stood straight. She looked up at the sky, mouth wide opened, pretending to drink the raindrop and looked weird.

Mei, on the other hand, bravely stared at the boy who seemed to be at same grade level as them but in a different section.

"Hindi kami yon no!" Mei said, eyebrow raised.

"Nambabanok ka? Sumbong kita kay Ma'am Salva sige!" added Susan after wiping the water on her face using her handkerchief.

The boy froze when she heard Ma'am Salva's name.

Well, Ma'am Salva was the famous scary Head Teacher in Maligaya. Why? Because every time a student didn't do his homework or couldn't answer her question she would say "Ipapakain ko kayo sa ahas!"

Yes, KAYO, ALL. It means everyone in the class would be involved in the punishment because of one student's mistake. She would hit their palm with a very thin stick that would leave a painful red mark.

Below were the other following popular lines of Ma'am Salva. They were famously called Death Threat.

1. Every time she walked in the hallway and heard a noisy class:
"Wa kamo maghipos! Tahiin ko gid yang bunganga nyo! "

2. When she's in the cafeteria and saw impatient students queueing and picking on each other:
" Gulo nyo a! Gusto nyo iluto ko kayo?"

3. When a student didn't do his assignment whether he has a valid or invalid reason:
" Di ka gid naggawa ng assignment ha, putulin ko yang daliri mo na yan at gawin kong sisig!"

4. When she heard someone cursed or said bad words:
"Putulin ko gid yang dila mo na yan! Hindi magpamulay ha!"

4. Reminder before every exam:
"Makita ko lang kayo nga nagkopya, dukutin ko yang dalawa nyong mata at ipatuka ko sa ibon!

The poor boy, pants wet, just walked ahead after he remembered each "death threat" of the head teacher. Even Susan and Mei got scared for a moment and regret mentioning her name.

The rain poured heavily again while the two were patiently waiting for their friend Mylene.

"Ang tagal naman nya, Mei. Malelate na tayo e. Ang lakas na ng ulan oh," complained Susan while continously playing with the puddles.

"Una na ba tayo?." suggested Mei who's getting irritated already. They have been standing in front of Mylene's house for 10 minutes.

"Wag!" cried Susan.

"baka magalit na naman sya atin. Tapos hindi na naman nya tayo papansinin."

Not long afterward, Mylene came running out of the house in her purple raincoat and botas. She was smiling and waving at them.

"Tara na!" said Mylene and ran. The two got curious when they didn't see Mylene dragging her puple wheeled bag.

"Mylene, nakalimutan mo bag mo!"
