Harry P.O.V.

‘The ways Louis always seems to calm me down amaze me. Earlier I was having a panic attack and he took me into the backyard with him and we just layed on the trampoline and he just talked to me and played with my hair. I love his voice, it’s so soothing. I could listen to him talk all day if I could. Yesterday, mum let him and I walk around town, and I showed him all the things from my childhood like the bakery and my old school and the park that I first learned to do the bars at. We ended up going to an old café and hanging out there for the remainder of the day. When we came back, we headed to my room and he sung me songs for me to fall asleep to. That was all yesterday. This morning we said goodbye to mum and Gem and we headed off to Doncaster so I can meet his family. That’s where we’re headed to now. I’m not that nervous in all honesty, I’m sure I’ll do great. People have always liked me.’

I shut my journal, placing it under the seat, reaching over and lacing my fingers with Louis’ as he drove. His thumb rubbed against my knuckles gently, calming me down. He knows exactly what to do most of the time. I sighed in content, relaxing under his touch, watching all the other cars go by.

“How long until we get there, Louis?” I asked gently, not taking my gaze off the window.

“About ten minutes, babe.” He told me. I nodded softly, letting my eyes fall closed.

I must’ve dozed off, because the next thing I knew, I was being shaken awake, Louis’ voice cooing ‘wake up, Harry’ in my ear. I yawned and stretched as much as the seat would let me, which was really only my torso, and even that was barely able to stretch. I took a look around us, noticing how the houses in Doncaster are slightly different than the ones in Holmes Chapel. I felt Louis’ lips press to my jaw and I unbuckled my seat belt, getting out of the car.

“Come on, Harry.” Louis called after me, already halfway to his doorstep. I smiled and followed after him, taking a deep breath before walking into the house.

“Louis’ home!” Two little girls chanted, jumping around Louis’ feet. I watched as he chuckled and picked one of the girls up, resting her on his shoulder. He’s going to be an outstanding father one day.

“I thought I heard something about you.” A middle aged woman- his mom, probably- came in and wrapped Louis in a hug.

The girl who wasn’t on Louis’ shoulder finally took notice of me, eyeing me suspiciously.

“Mom, why did Louis bring a boy with him?” She asked loudly, causing everyone to stop and look at me. I felt like I was an art display.

“Why did Louis bring a boy with him?” His mom asked, obviously teasing him. Louis set the little girl back down and walked up to me, lacing our fingers.

“Mum, this is Harry, my boyfriend.”

Once Louis finished his sentence, the two girls began to chatter about how cute Louis and I am, and his mom came up to us, studying me for quite a while, a wide smile on her face.

“You seem to make Louis happy, so I approve.” His mom finally said, causing me to breathe out in relief.

“Thank you.” I whispered to her, and she nodded softly, walking back to the girls.

“Daisy, can you go get Lottie and Fizzy for me?” His mom asked one of the girls, and she nodded, running off up the stairs. “And Phoebe, go get some cookies for Harry and Louis.” And there the other one went.

“I thought you only had one sister, Louis.” I said, turning to face Louis.

“The other three are more like friends.” He joked, but then he sighed softly. “It’s a long story, I’ll explain some other time, I promise.”

“Louis, Harry, come sit.” His mom said, sitting down on the couch. Louis took my hand and led me to the couch, sitting down where I sat next to him.

“It’s so good to see you, mum.” Louis said, his fingers lacing with mine.

“It’s good to see you too, Lou. How’s college been to you?”

While they were chatting, I noticed the twins bring down two other girls, both of them the spitting image of Louis. They both looked at me and then turned away, beginning to squeal about something, while the twins told them something else. I focused back on Louis and his mom, just in time for her to interrogate me.

“So Harry, you go to the same college as Louis?” She asked me. I nodded, smiling softly.

“Yeah, I’m a literature and poetry major.” I explained. She smiled and nodded, calling the two girls over.

“Fizzy, Lottie, come meet Harry.”

Before I knew it, I had the older girl, Lottie, practically sitting on my lap.

“Are you Louis’ friend?” She asked, batting her eyelashes. I heard Louis chuckle.

“He’s my boyfriend, Charlotte.” Louis interjected, and Lottie moved away.

“Sorry, Louis. You caught yourself a keeper.” She said, smiling. “I’m Lottie.” She introduced.

“And I’m Fizzy!” The younger girl shouted from beside Lottie, causing me to chuckle.

“Nice to meet you girls, I’m Harry.”

“Are you a princess?” I looked down to see one of the twins looking up at me, I think this one is Phoebe. I picked her up, setting her on my lap, smiling as I moved a strand of hair out of her eyes.

“He’s my princess.” Louis said softly, causing me to blush softly.

“You have the curly hair of a princess, and your skin is soft and milky like a princess, and your eyes are bright like a princesses.” She said, reaching up and playing with a piece of my hair.

“Then I guess I’m a princess.” I told her, leaning into Louis’ side as she continued to play with a piece of my hair.

“You’ve got yourself a keeper, Lou.” I heard his mom say to him, causing me to smile wider.
