-Six years ago-

I, Melanie Fonder, is currently 14, oldest, and the black sheep of my family, was abused by my own parents just for being bisexual.

My younger siblings, Martin, Maki and Kenneth always get what they want and live a healthy and happy life. But not me.

I would always try to find part-time jobs to earn money and buy an iPhone. But my family always takes my savings, and use them to buy beers and cigarettes.

They would always hit me with a belt or punch me, drunk or not drunk. They would lock me in my room and leave me for hours, starving.

Martin will always be the one giving me food and comforting me.

I sigh and ask Martin. "Why are you doing this?".

Martin replied.

"If I show you kindness, will you re pay me back with kindness?"

I genuinely smiled at Martin and told him.

"Of course."

-Six years after-
Present day.

I am now 19. My family forced me to enroll to the University of Bridgeport. I thought to my self "Why?".

I went to their bedroom door and I heard my mom say.

"Why do we need to enroll her to Bridgeport? She's a disappointment."

My dad replied.

"We need her to graduate so that she can get a job and give us money!"

My mom smiled and replied back.

"Great idea! But how can we be sure if she'll give us the money?"

My dad frowned and looked down, Is he thinking? He looked backed up.

"If she didn't give us the money, then let's give her a punishment!"

Mom's face was filled with joy as she hugged dad. I was filled with anger and sadness. Why can't they treat me
like how they treat my younger siblings?
