"Masarap 'to. Kain ka na,"

Papansin. Levi is so papansin right now. Hindi ko na nga siya pinapansin mula kahapon and he's right here forcing me to eat?! Dinamay pa si Don sa kalokohan niya!

"Levi cooked that. It's his favorite," Don said kaya agad naman ako napatingin kay Levi na nakatingin din sa akin. He's smiling like an idiot! Dati, I feel something when I see his smile but now it feels weird!

My forehead creased when I looked at the food. This doesn't look like chicken curry. This looks like.. adobo? but not chicken. It's pork.

"This is adobo," They nodded. Teka. Akala ko favorite ni Levi ang chicken curry? I shook my head and choose to disregard the thought. I ate quietly but I felt Levi's stares at me.

I arched my brow at him. He fucking smiled. "Masarap?"

Napatingin ako kay Don na nakatingin din sakin. I had no choice but to say.. "Yes,"

Levi's eyes sparkled like a kid. Hindi ko na siya pinansin dahil para siyang bata na ang saya saya kumain. After we ate, Levi got a phone call and decided to went out for a minute. Baka si Tanya. Lol.

"Birthday mo pala noong nakaraang araw. Hindi mo man lang sinabi," I glanced at Don whose now at my side.

"It doesn't really matters. It's just a birthday," I bitterly said. My birthday is the only great thing about me that happens to me every year, and for the first time in forever.. I didn't celebrate it.

"Belated happy birthday, iha. Masyado kasi akong busy sa mga lupain ko kaya hindi kami nakauwi ng apo ko noong mga nakaraang araw. Do you want something? A gift? A celebration? We can do that here. Maybe pool party? or do you want a formal one? We have a party hall here— perhaps we could use the garden?"

I smiled. Levi is lucky to have Don as his grandfather. He is really a father figure. I wonder, gaano ba kahirap maging tatay? Why can't my father act like this?

"I appreciate the gesture, Don. But I'm fine. Tapos na 'yon. May next year pa naman. Thank you, though."

"Sure. Just don't be shy to tell me what you need okay? or just tell Levi. Masungit lang 'yon minsan pero he actually cares." I highly doubt that.

"I'm curious. Where are his parents?" I asked. Matagal ko nang iniisip 'yon since si Don lang ang kasama niya dito sa hacienda.

A hint of pain crossed Don's eyes. "Nagpapahinga na sa taas,"

"Sorry," I apologized. I didn't expect that. I shouldn't have asked.

"It's okay. We've moved on even though we still missed them,"

I realized how painful Levi's life can be. His parents are dead and he only got Don as his family. Wala pala akong alam kay Levi.

"Maybe you should go try to talk Levi about that. Ever since the death of her sister and followed by her parents, he's been so distant—,"

Don was stopped from talking when Levi spoke. "Don,"

Don didn't bother to answer but he tousled my hair before standing up. Naiwan tuloy kami ni Levi dito! Tumayo na din ako para pumunta sa kwarto. Today's my rest day! Nakakapagod kaya sa farm.

"Fayre," I didn't peg Levi to be flash, he was quick to held my arm.

"What?"

"I'm sorry. Babawi ako. What do you need or want?" He gently said but I aggresively pulled my arm from him.
