I hear the doors to the palace open, and I knew exactly who was here. I jump off the bed and race down the stairs to see two familiar faces.

"Uncle Adam!" I cry out with joy. He saw me running towards him and opens his arms out wide to let me jump into them, giving him a big hug.

"My, my princess. You sure have grown a lot since we last met. How old are you now?" he asks with a chuckle as he sets me down on the marble floor.

"I'm six!" I reply with glee. I see the other familiar face walking towards me. "Liv!" I say as she wraps me up into a big bear hug.

"Good to see you, Liz. How's the royalty school going?" she asks after she sets me down on the floor.

"I don't like it, it's too boring." I say with my tongue sticking out in disgust.

"Elizabeth Dixon! You know better than to say that!" my mother, Queen Madeline, shouts across the foyer as she gracefully enters from her room.

"I'm sorry, mother." I grumble in reply. She picks me up into the third hug I had today, showering me with kisses. "Haha, mother, stop! That tickles!"

She puts me down on the ground and led Uncle Adam to the study room, where my father, King Noah, was working. I led Olivia to my room and sat down on the bed, talking about things that happened after the last visit. I look forward to their visit, every year, around Christmas, it makes the holiday season so much better. I notice Olivia had a book on her lap as we were talking.

"Olivia? What kind of book is that?" I ask out of curiosity.

"Oh this old thing? This is my math book. I have to do some work over the holidays." She replies with disgust. "I don't understand why we need to have homework over break, it's stupid. We need this time to relax and spend time with family."

I look at her with wide eyes in confusion. "Okay, can I see it?"

"Oh yeah, Liz, of course you can." She hands me the book over and my eyes get wider. I hear my mother calling for Olivia. "Well, I guess that's my cue to leave. Aunt Madeline probably wants to talk about my future after high school again. I'm only twelve, I've got plenty of time to figure out what I want to do. Anyway, I'll see you at dinner, Liz?"

"Yep! Sure thing!" I say with excitement. Olivia hops off my bed and head towards the study room. I open up the book and see that it's about algebra. I don't know what that means, but I'm curious to find out.

I'm a hundred pages in, and have solved all the problems from the three units. I'm confused as to why I can understand everything in this book, but I won't question it.

"Elizabeth, it's dinner time, come on down." my mother calls from the foyer.

"Coming mother!" I hop off the bed, walk to my bathroom, make sure I look decent enough to my mother's standards, and run towards the dining room.

"Woah there, Liz. Are you that excited for dinner?" my father says as he stops me from crashing into one of our butlers.

"Sorry father, I'm excited Liv and Uncle Adam are here." My father chuckles and pulls my chair out for me. I sit down and soon enough, dinner begins. After dinner, I race back to my room with Olivia and I beat her, by five seconds, in a dress.

"Wow, Liz, you sure are fast. Speaking of fast, how much of my math book did you get through?" Olivia asks, breathing hard from the sprint we did.

"I got through most of it. It's pretty easy if you ask me." I reply with a shrug. I hop on my bed and continue to work on it. Olivia watches me explain everything as if I'm her math teacher, but better and way younger. Next thing I know, I hear a knock on the door. "Come in."

Uncle Adam opens the door. "Hey girls, what are you up to?"

"Working on some...al..ge..bra." I say after making sure I read it right. "Oh wow, I didn't know you were interested in math, Elizabeth. Let me see what you have done so far." I give him the notebook and his eyes are wide in shock. "Oh my God, Elizabeth. This is amazing! You have the gift Olivia and I do!" I look at him with a confused face. "Oh, sorry princess, haha, let me explain it to you. You are very very smart. You are so smart, you can solve all of the math problems you want."

"Really?" I ask with eyes full of hope. "Of course, Elizabeth, I really mean it." he reply with a small smile. I hug him really tight and he hands me back the notebook. "I promise to get you more math books, okay princess?" I nod my head as he gets off the bed and closes the door.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It's been five years since I learned how to do algebra. Now, I know how to do high school level calculus. My uncle and I have promised to keep my "smart gift" as a secret from my parents. According to my uncle, he was very very smart too. He went to college and got a degree in mechanical engineering. He wanted to make Florunas better for the people, but my grandfather, King Benjamin at the time, said no. My uncle was furious and my father wanted to help him, but he knew he would get in a lot of trouble from my grandfather. So, my uncle decided to move out of the palace, moved to America, and live a subtle life there. My grandfather was very upset at him, especially since he was the first son in the family. My father became first in line for the throne. My uncle found a lovely lady to become his wife, aunt Lucy, and then Olivia was born sometime after that. Sometimes, he misses the royal life, but he's very glad he founded his own company in America and is working very hard to save up for Olivia's college tuition.

As for me, I would love to do what my uncle did, but I can't. I'm an only child. I have to take the throne, and now my mother is wondering when I should start seeing potential future kings for our kingdom. Gross, can it wait until I'm older? I would rather do calculus than kiss boys right now. Besides, I'm only eleven, all of that could change when I'm older.
