The next day, Roman was sound asleep when a knock on the door woke him. "Prince Roman? Did I wake you?"

He yawned and sat up. "No, no! I've been awake for-" another yawn, "hours!" He almost fell asleep again when whoever it was knocked again.

"Prince Roman, it's time to get dressed for the coronation." The servant called as he opened the door.

Roman bolted upright, suddenly fully alert. "It's coronation day!" He excitedly dressed himself, eyeing his reflection before nodding, satisfied with the white suit and red sash.

He shot out the door, watching as the servants set up for the ball. "The window is open, so is that door! I didn't know they did that anymore! Who knew we had a thousand salad plates?" He stared in awe at the servants who carried said plates to the formal dining room.

"For years I've roamed these empty halls! Why have a ballroom with no balls?" He asked as he danced alone in the room, enjoying how his suit jacket caught the wind from the open windows. "Finally, they're opening up the gates!"

Roman stared out the window, watching the kingdom bustling to prepare for the day. "There'll be actual, real life people! It'll be totally strange, but wow am I so ready for this change!" He pushed past the servants who were hanging new drapes in the public hallways of the palace. "For the first time in forever there'll be music, there'll be light. For the first time in forever I'll be dancing through the night! Don't know if I'm elated or gassy but I'm somewhere in that zone, cause for the first time in forever..." he looked meaningfully at the hallway leading to Remus's room. "I won't be alone."

He walked out on the nearby balcony, waving to the people below him. "Oh, I can't wait to meet everyone!" He turned to go inside before gasping. "What if I meet... the one?" He practically squealed with delight.

"Tonight imagine me, suit and all, fetchingly draped against the wall!" Roman leaned against the wall to show what he was thinking of... to no one. "The picture of sophisticated grace! I suddenly see him standing there. A beautiful stranger, tall and fair! I wanna stuff some chocolate in my face!" He did just that as he fixed his hair in the mirror.

"But then we laugh and talk all evening." Roman looked back at his reflection suddenly alarmed. "Which is totally bizarre! Nothing like the life I've led so far!"

Roman twirled as he continued his walk through the palace, dreaming of the ball. "For the first time in forever there'll be magic, there'll be fun. For the first time in forever I could be noticed by someone!" He looked out the window once again, dreamily staring outside. "And I know it is totally crazy to dream I'd find romance... But for the first time in forever at least I've got a chance!"

Remus was in his room. He had been dressed for hours, anxiously practicing the ceremony over and over in his head. "Don't let them in, don't let them see. Be the good boy you always have to be." He looked himself in the mirror, taking off his gloves and holding up the candle and compass that he was using in place of the scepter and orb. "Conceal, don't feel. Put on a show." The frost started to climb the candle and compass. He tossed them down as if they were made of fire. "Make one wrong move and everyone will know.."

The king to be looked out his window. "But it's only today. And it's agony to wait." He opened the door to his bedroom and looked at his head guard. "Tell the guards to open up the gates!" He said before he could change his mind.

Roman was watching the gates and immediately bolted outside as he saw them move. "The gates!" He made his way through the crowd. Dignitaries from around the world, some he recognized from when he was little, some he didn't, were greeting him, but he just wanted to see the world. When he finally pushed past the Princess of Corona and her fiancé, the last royal visitors, he burst through the crowd and saw the Arendelle people. "For the first time in forever I'm getting what I'm dreaming of! A chance to change my lonely world, a chance to find true love!"

Remus walked through the less crowded part of the castle, trying to be respectful but also avoiding shaking hands. "Don't let them in, don't let them see. Be the good boy you always have to be... conceal, don't feel, don't let them know!"

The younger brother was in the middle of the marketplace, and was suddenly hit with the realization. "I know it all ends tomorrow... so it has to be today! For the first time in forever, nothing's in my way!" He marched down the docks before immediately being bowled over by a horse. "Woah!" He screeched as he fell into a nearby boat.

The rider dismounted, going to help the prince up. "I am so sorry, let me help you!" He said.

Roman grabbed the tan hand offered to him and stood. "You should be more careful..." he trailed off as he met deep green eyes and the black hair. "I mean... thank you!"

When the prince was standing, the man bowed. "Prince Mitchell, of the Southern Isles. And you are?"

Roman bowed too. "Prince Roman, of Arendelle."

The man, Mitchell, immediately bowed deeper. "Oh my gosh, I can't believe I just knocked over the crown prince! My deepest apologies!"

"Oh no! You're thinking of my brother, Remus. I'm just... Roman." He tried to reassure him. "And I think I should, ah, go now.."

"Wait, don't go! You don't have to be embarrassed, prince 'oh it's just me!" Mitchel shook his head. "I'm not that great either. I've got twelve older brothers. I'm not in line for the throne anytime soon. I try to be humble about my title, for it's all that I have. So please, accept the humblest apologies from a clumsy prince."

"I-okay..." was all Roman could say in response before he heard the church bells. "Oh my gosh! I have to go! I'm sorry!"

He bolted off to the church where the coronation was soon to start.
