TIME SKIP TO VOLLEYBALL TRYOUTS

LILLY'S POV
I was stretching by myself in the corner of the gym before the tryouts started. There were a lot of people trying out this year which made me kinda nervous, but I'm still so excited. Volleyball and writing are the only things in my life that make me happy right now other than jack. If I don't make the team I don't know what I would do.
Coach- C
Lilly- L
Cynthia- Cyn
Nessa- N
C- Hey everyone! I'm glad everyone came today for the tryouts so let's get started on some passing drills!
L- Coach, I don't have a passing partner.
C- That's ok, you can pass to me if you want.
L- That sounds great. Thank you!
Out of nowhere, I hear Nessa and Cynthia talking.
N- Wow, look at that loser already trying to suck up to Coach.
Cyn- I know right. She's not even good.
N- totally.
*they both start laughing and staring at me*
I wasn't really hurt by those comments because I'm used to it by now. I started passing to coach and we kept up a good rally. I could feel everyone staring at us passing the ball back and forth but I kept going until coach stopped the ball.
C- Wow Lilly, you can keep up a really long rally. ( said sort of whispering to me)
*coach yells to everyone*
C- Now that is how a passing drill should go! Awesome work Lilly, why don't you lead the next drill.
L- Sure I would love to!
N-Sure I would love to. *she said mimicking me*
Cyn- she wasn't even good. * she said under her breath*
C- THAT'S ENOUGH GIRLS. She said yelling at Nessa and Cynthia.

N- I know. Coach is obviously just pitying her
Cyn- ya, and Lilly probably won't even be able to afford the uniforms and stuff.
*They start laughing as they walk over to their boyfriends*
