Chapter. 1~Early 2000s
Ciara's POV..
"C get on up it's time for school!"My mom yelled at the top of her lungs as I lazily opened my eyes. Today was just a regular ole day for school .I didn't want to go but hey,it was gonna help me to some day become successful so I might as well get up.
Breaking me out the rest of my sleep my brother lorenso forcefully opens my door yelling...
"Ciara where is my pick"he asked
'How would I know where his pick is'I questioned myself.
"I don't know" I say getting up to go to the door where he's standing.
"Bruh you had it yesterday"
"Mann ain't nobody do nothing with your pick please move" I say becoming aggravated.
" Man I'm not going to school then" he says after smacking his lips and going into his room as I went to the bathroom.
"Oh you getting out of here today sorry!" My momma said in the most exaggerated voice.

"Ay C u riding the bus" lorenso said.
"Nah I'm going to walk with Joy and Tasha" I stated.
"Ok" my brother said as he walked to the stop.
Turning around and walking down the sidewalk I spotted Joy distance away
We all lived on the south side of town in the Gump (Montgomery). It was nothing to special but yeah we all had normal teenage lives just living it up on the some what ghetto side of town.
"Hey girl" Joy said.
"Heyyy bestiee"I said happy to see her.

Meet Joy Taylor ,yes she is one of my closest friends for over 4yrs she's more on the innocent side of the boat between me and Tasha .You would never catch her slipping on her grades or getting into any trouble.She was caring and always had something to talk about .

"Now that we're here where is Tasha" Joy said looking at the time.
"I don't know she's always late "I said in a annoyed tone also looking at Joy's time on her phone.
"JOY" Tasha said out no where making us both look up.

Meet Tasha Broadway,Now she is the tuff one ,she never lets anyone bring her down or get away with being rude to her. we've been knowing each other for quite some time and became close 3yrs back.

"Bout time" I said.
"Oh,wow she has arrived "Joy said over exaggerating.
"What,Ain't nobody tell y'all to wait on me "Tasha said playfully while chewing her gum.
"No like y'all for real we got to go it's 6:45 and the bell rings at 7:30" Joy said getting impatient.
"Ouh you right and plus I gotta see Kim"Tasha said with a smirk.
"For what"Joy stated as we all started to walk.
"N-Nothing I just have to give her back her binder "she said laughing weirdly.
'Hmm' I thought to myself as we were approaching the Campus where we all attended. 'Russel High'

Later that Day...
Later that afternoon we all chilled on Joy's mother porch while eating snacks.
" so girl why don't you like that Rodney boy no more"I said really into the conversation.
Rodney was someone Joy was dating for about 2 months. I would see him around school he was in the 12th grade while we were in the 11th he's one of those boys that was thuggish but kinda kept to himself at times.
"I do I'm just starting to get weird vibes" Joy stated.
"Cut that nigga off , you see I don't date anymore cause of that type of stuff right their "Tasha said while staring at the ground.
"You think so Ciara " Joy said looking at their messages.
"That's totally up to yo-"
"Well I just think y'all need a break up besides you guys are from two different worlds your smart and kinda rich and he's just all over the place"Tasha said cutting me off.
"I'll think about it" Joy said sounding confused.
"Yeah just 'think' about it "I said while giving Tasha the 'shut up' look.
"Well I'll call it a day,I have to study for something in physics" Joy said while standing up.
"Ok I'll see you tomorrow and make sure to text me"I said while Tasha waved her goodbye.
We both watched as she walked away 2 houses down.
"I really don't trust that boy with her "Tasha said.
"Oh come on people in relationships go through things just let her handle it"I said while balling up my trash
"Ok"she said fidgeting with her shoe laces.
"Yeah I'll call u once I make it home" I said getting up.
"Ok bye sis"she said while waving me goodbye.

While Walking I started to listen to music sense my walk was a distance from my friends house. I never really been with anyone like my friends but I've always wanted that special someone. I just didn't meet the right person yet.
All of a sudden I felt a nudge on my shoulder, jumping slightly while turning around I came face to face with 'Quan' . Quan was one of the neighborhood junkies well that's what I called him considering he stayed picking with me and my brother so why not give him an unpleasant nickname. "oh my god u stay doing some creepy stuff what?!" I said loudly While taking out my earbuds.
He lives 3 houses down from me but always had the time to come and hang around my house.
"Cleo you is doing the most I just came to ask did you do your project " he said slightly smiling.
" it's Ciara and No I'm going to finish it tomorrow night".I said while continuing to walk.
"Oh lets cheat we can be in this together."he said in a convincing tone like it's the end of the world.
"You just said that with so much confidence"I said laughing as I was nearing my house.
" yeah I did have a little hope because you know if I fail it,you fail and if we pass,then we just pass"he said while fidgeting with his hair.
" man bye"I said walk in my driveway.
"Now you see why I mess with yo ass now " he said as he stepped on the back of my shoe.
"Oh my god you do too much please get off my property"I said angrily.
"oH mY GoD YoU Do tO muCh"he mockingly said as he ran.
' bum ass' I thought to myself before I finally walked in my house.
Yeah that's what a normal day of my life would consist of Family ,Friends ,School,hanging out, and creeps like Quan.
Too keep it simple I am Ciara Smith, I was the friend in the middle. Joy and Tasha would always come to me with their situations and I would give them my honest opinions on how to help them with the situations my world was surrounded by my own thoughts,So this is my story about our bond where secrets and lies will become reality.
