"I'm... s-so close..." she whispered to herself as she shivered. She was under the old oak tree. It was no more than 200-300 feet away from her house, but she didn't have the strength to move or to yell for help.

Allison sighed, wrapping her wings around herself like a cocoon. I'll just have to wait until I gather my strength, she thought.

Soon, her eyelids fell and she fell asleep.

But a figure nearby was wanting that to happen.

The glowing eyes was the only sign of his identity, as he was wearing a dark cloak to protect himself from the rain.

Herobrine dragged out a net he had been waiting to use; it was Splinter's idea when they were talking in the library. It was heavy on the edges with smooth stone spheres. This isn't exactly the way I wanted to go, but she's too fast for anything else.

Memories of his previous failed attempts flashed in his mind. One time he tried to tranquilize her when she was a dragon, and ended up with deep scratches from Allison's talons all over his arms and a long one from her tail on his side. Luckily he was immortal, but they still hurt. It took a few weeks for all of the wounds to heal.

Another time he tried grabbing her, quickly summoning a Nether portal, and jumping in with her in his arms. That didn't work either - her wings managed to flap out of his grip. It gave her the flexibility needed to kick him with enough force for him to lose his grip, and fly away.

The last time he had tried, Kat was with her. They were outside, distracted by the new garden they had made and admiring their work. He tried putting a fire wall between the two girls, but he didn't know Kat had water magic. She quickly reduced the flames to steam and stood protectively in front of Allison. He was already had no chance at that point, as most of his magic was fire-based, and hers was water.

He shook his head, clearing the thoughts out of his mind. This had to work. He didn't have any other ideas that could work if he failed.

He watched Allison for a few moments, watching her wings rise and fall with deep breaths, along with shivers.

She must be cold, he thought. I didn't think that dragons would be cold-blooded, especially her species, but... he trailed off, not knowing how to finish his thought.

He grabbed as much of the net as he could, and crept towards the sleeping girl, trying not to make noise. He paused every time she twitched or seemed to be waking up.

He hesitated, preparing to throw the net at her.

Inside her little wing cocoon, Allison's ear twitched. But she was still dreaming.

It was the school dance.

She was with her small group of friends - Adam, Ginny, and Henry. The only friends she had managed to make at the school, as everyone else hated her for no reason other than looking like a hybrid (she wasn't sure if she actually was). She didn't understand why; the theories she had come up with didn't make sense. Some unspoken rule at school? The kids have grown up together, and suddenly I show up? I'm not human? were commonly thought of.

The music was pumping and the lights were flashing. Occasionally the fun mood was broken with a slow song, songs that you'd slow dance to with someone. Most of those songs she danced with Adam, as he was the only guy she was comfortable with. Henry was okay, but he always chose Ginny to dance with so Allison didn't want to interrupt that.

She occasionally heard a snicker from the crowd of dancing kids, but she didn't care. She didn't care about the glaring eyes either.

She was wearing a flowing blue dress, with exposed shoulders and its length going down two-thirds of her shins. It was fitted to her, as it had slots for her wings and tail. She wore nice blue shoes, blue and silver teardrop earrings, and a ring with a small opal stone on her right hand's ring finger. She had wrapped a lighter blue fabric around her tail diamond, stuffing the end of it so she couldn't scratch anyone. She tied a bow that was a blue in between the colors of the dress and fabric at the beginning of her diamond, so that her tail didn't look too bad with the protection around it.

Other girls were much simpler with their outfits, some wore a pink dress here and there (Ginny included), and an occasional different colored one could be seen in the room.

The boys, however, stood out against the colorful dresses with their black and occasionally white tuxedos. Or the girls stood out against them; it worked either way it was looked at.

Suddenly the surroundings changed. Allison was in the bathroom, flattening the hair around her horns and fixing the bow on her tail. It was starting to fall off, and that wouldn't have been good if it did - it was keeping the fabric up to protect her diamond, or, well, it was protecting others from her diamond.

She walked out of the bathroom, and found a small group of boys waiting by the boys' side of the restroom area. She shrugged it off, assuming that there was a line or wait.

She began walking back to the dance, and perked her ears. There were footsteps behind her. Allison quickly glanced behind her, and her guess was wrong - they weren't waiting to use the bathroom. They were slowly trailing behind her, stares boring into her back.

She picked up her pace, hoping to get back to Adam and her friends quickly.

The group behind her also increased their speed, and soon she realized, they're following me.

Her eyes turned a worried dark blue, and without noticing, she took one turn too early. When she realized, it was too late.

Allison couldn't turn back, as the group of boys had already turned the corner. They all had smiles on their faces, but they weren't the happy kind.

She tried opening the doors that led to the classrooms, but they were all locked. She exhaled a breath, looking around the hallway. Her only escape was through a window, but she would have to break the glass in order to get through it. She didn't want to get herself cut up nor cause property damage, so she turned around to stand her ground.

"What do you want?" She hissed, half clenching her fist.

"To prove my worth," a boy said in the back of the group, who parted to let him through. "To my father."

Allison narrowed her eyes as they fell upon the boy who spoke. Suddenly the air felt cold around around her, as she realized what this dream was.

No...

This is the birthday chapter I guess

Allison is wearing the same stuff I did for my freshman year of homecoming, except I didn't have an opal ring or the stuff on her tail (obviously)
