~The Next Morning~

Aimi woke up and found Louis getting dressed.

“Oh, you’re still here,” Aimi said, getting dressed. Louis looked down at her, fixing his tie.

“You fell asleep on top of me, like you did last time. I didn’t want to wake you,” Louis said. Aimi stood up and put on her uniform, before putting her shoes on.

“I’m gonna go check on the lights before Legoshi comes,” Aimi said, walking to the door.

“Did it feel good for you?” Louis asked, putting his jacket on.

“It still hurt a bit. Not as much as before though,” Aimi said, before leaving the office. She pulled her slightly messy hair back into a ponytail and checked the lights. She looked over the lights before someone covered her eyes.

“Good morning,” she heard a voice say softly, making her heart flutter.

“Good morning, Legoshi,” Aimi said, giving a smile. Legoshi uncovered her eyes, as Aimi looked up at him. Legoshi smiled a little, his tail wagging.

“How are the lights?” Legoshi asked.

“They’re all ready for tomorrow night,” Aimi said.

“Great. Ready for breakfast?” Legoshi asked.

“Yeah!” Aimi said, her tail wagging happily. “Let me grab my bag first.”

“Alright, I’ll be right here,” Legoshi said. Aimi walked to the office, brushing shoulders with Louis on her way inside.

“I’m still going to prove myself to you. Even if you are done with me,” Louis said to Aimi, before walking to the door. Aimi sighed and grabbed her bag, before walking out of the office and back over to Legoshi.

“When did Louis get here?” Legoshi asked.

“Earlier this morning, I think,” Aimi lied. Legoshi nodded and held out his hand.

“Ready to go?” Legoshi asked.

“Always,” Aimi said, taking his hand. The two walked outside, heading to the cafeteria for breakfast.

~Opening Night~

Everything seemed to be going well. Aimi waited backstage, since Legoshi was in charge of lighting that night.

“This is going really well,” Aimi whispered softly, Aoba, the Bald eagle nodded quietly. Aimi watched quietly, being slightly entertained by Louis’s performance as Alder. ‘He wasn’t lying when he said he would have a perfect performance.’

~After the performance~

As the curtains closed, Louis collapsed.

“Louis!” Aimi called, hurrying over to him. She took his mask off and checked his pulse. “Guys!” The club members rushed back onto the stage and crowded around Louis. “Get him to the nurse. It’s his leg.”

~Hours later~

Aimi sat out in the hallway of the nurse’s office, shaking slightly. Aoba poked his head out and looked at Aimi.

“Hey, Aimi? Louis wanted to see you,” Aoba said.

“Why?” Aimi asked, making Aoba shrug slightly. She stood up and followed him back inside.

“Aimi,” Louis said, looking at her walk in. “Are you okay? You aren’t scared are you?”

“I’m fine...you need to worry about yourself right now. I’m gonna go help Legoshi clean up,” Aimi said. “Hope you feel better. And good job tonight, you did good,” she walked out of the room and headed to the theater to help Legoshi.

~The Next Night~

Aimi stood up in the lighting balcony, watching the performance and keeping the spotlight on the actors. She continued to watch, until Legoshi walked onto the stage, before punching Bill, who was Louis’s understudy for the role. Gasps filled the theater, along with Aimi gasping from above.

“Oh my God...” Aimi muttered, watching in horror. “Why isn’t anyone stopping this?” She muttered, watching Legoshi send multiple punches to Bill’s face. Aimi continued to watch, as Bill blocked a punch and gained the upper hand. A conversation ensued between the two, before Bill pulled Legoshi into a hug. The hug seemed to get tighter, Legoshi looking toward the audience with concern. “Kai,” Aimi said, looking at Kai, who was on the lightning balcony with Kai to help her.

“Go ahead, I got this,” Kai said.

“I owe you one, Kai,” Aimi said, climbing down from the balcony. She left the theater and crept around the building, sneaking backstage.

“This is bad,” Sanu whispered to Sheila the Leopard, who nodded. Louis then appeared onstage, confronting Bill, making it seem like the whole thing was an act. Legoshi hurried offstage to Aimi, who embraced him in a hug. He hugged her close, leaning on her a little from lack of balance.

“Whoa, whoa. Be careful, Legoshi, you’ll crush her,” Sheila said, helping Legoshi regain balance. “Come on, let’s get you to the nurse’s office.”

“But she’s not in,” Legoshi said.

“I’ll patch you up,” Aimi said. The two girls guided Legoshi to the empty nurse’s office.

~A little later~

Aimi sat behind Legoshi, treating his claw wounds on his back.

“I’m gonna kick his ass,” Aimi muttered, feeling hatred towards Bill, after Legoshi told her what happened at yesterday’s rehearsal.

“Don’t, it’s too dangerous for you to get involved,” Legoshi said. “I’ll deal with it.”

“I was so scared,” Aimi said, before Legoshi gently took her shaking hand.

“It’s okay, Aimi, I’m okay,” Legoshi turned to look at her. Aimi looked at him, calming down a little. “Thank you, Aimi.”

“You’ve helped me so much it’s the least I could do,” Aimi said, holding his hand. Legoshi looked at her, seeming to be mentally arguing with himself. “Legoshi?”

“Yes?” Legoshi responded.

“Can I tell you something?” Aimi asked.

“You can tell me anything,” Legoshi said.

“I like you,” Aimi confessed softly, blushing lightly. “I just feel safe around you. Every time I think of you I smile. I feel so much joy around you. I can’t help but feel warm inside.” Legoshi felt his face heat up, a shade of pink covering his cheeks.

“I like you too, Aimi,” Legoshi said softly.

“You do?” Aimi asked, looking at Legoshi, blushing lightly.

“Yes, and I’d like to get closer to you, but I want to take things slow,” Legoshi said.

“I’m okay with that. I’ll be waiting for you,” Aimi said, holding his hand.

“But first...I’d like to kiss you...if that’s okay,” Legoshi said, causing Aimi to blush heavily.

“I’m okay with it,” Aimi said. Legoshi nodded and leaned in slowly, Aimi leaning in as well. Aimi felt his lips against hers, causing her heart to race slightly. Legoshi felt the same reaction, his tail wagging slightly as well. Aimi pulled away gently and blushed heavily. “Wow.”

“That was nice,” Legoshi said, Aimi nodded and smiled at him.

“It was. I better finish patching you up,” Aimi said.

“Right,” Legoshi said. Aimi crawled behind him and went back to treating his wounds, bandaging them soon after.

“Okay, I’m done. Try not to do anything stupid from now on, okay?” Aimi said.

“Yes, nurse,” Legoshi. Aimi playfully punched his arm, making them both chuckle a little.

“I guess this means you have to sit out for tomorrow’s show, huh?” Aimi asked.

“Tomorrow is my night on lights,” Legoshi said.

“Oh yeah. Well I can help you tomorrow then,” Aimi said.

“That’d be great,” Legoshi said.
