"Niki it's time for school get down here!" My mother yelled from downstairs. I groaned and cuddled back into my covers, liking the warmth from them. Next thing I knew my warm covers were ripped off me by our dog Dolan, he then ran out of the room and I frowned "stupid dog" I mumbled. I stopped downstairs and slumped in my chair "Niki, we are getting new neighbors today a girl named Alia, her mom Maddie and her dad Nike" I tilted my head a bit "how olds Alia?" I asked softly. "She's 16, close to your age Niki" my mother hummed a bit and grinned "ugh mom I was just asking jeez not like I'm gonna marry the girl" I stomped off and grabbed my bike. When I got to my friend Toby's place I told him what my mom said "oooooooooo someone has a crush" he said "shut up I do not, I don't even know the girl" I scowled at him wanting to rip his throat apart, he was taking my moms side on this! I gave him a death stare "hey man sorry" I sighed "it's fine bro". I went home after an hour or so to be greeted by this beautiful girl, she had long golden brown hair, the brightest blue eyes ever, freckles, a perfect jawline and she was perfectly skinny. She was wearing a Aropostele shirt with cargo shorts. She turned to me and smiled "hi there! I'm Alia your new neighbor" holy sh*t she's Alia?!? "I-I'm Niki I live over there" I pointed and she smiled "I know silly I met your mom Judy and your dad Scott" "he's not my dad.. He's my stepdad my real dad, Gorgie died.." She gasped "I'm so sorry Niki I didn't know I just thought.." She stopped mid sentence and looked at me as saying 'I'm an idiot' but I shock my head.
