I throw on my charcoal colored hoodie and walk outside to be greeted by freezing rain. My favorite weather. Despite the fact I'm now freezing too I find this generally calming. As I walk I start to notice the scarce amount of cars that drive through this part of town, it's almost like this is a ghost town. Frankly, even if it was I wouldn't care, I enjoy the isolation. Of course there's people living here, but a very small amount, mostly older folks. I decide to walk over to convenience store to buy some stuff.
Today the store is vaguely empty most likely because nobody likes to walk in the rain, but then again can't they drive? The store is still hideously bright however. I trail down the isles aimlessly pretty much forgetting the reason I came in the first place. It's kind of overwhelming being surrounded by so much stuff once you think about it. Food, furniture, compact disk players, everything is here! Everything except exactly what I need, any book with clear ideology of Satanism. It's not that I want to become a satanist; it's just I find it interesting. Sure there's probably other places that may have a book or two on it but in town but not in a three mile radius of here. Realizing there's no hope in walking three miles in the freezing rain to buy a book today I decide to walk around the store some more; Besides its pretty dark out now, I doubt any book store would be open. I pass a mirror and briefly look at my reflection to see my hoodie still soaking wet as well as my dark brown hair which lies flatly against my forehead. My face is a bit red from previously being in the cold weather as well. I find it odd to look at my reflection, I don't do it very often except when I'm cutting my hair. Even when I'm cutting my hair it still isn't exact because my mirror is broken, but what can you do right? Buying another one would be useless. Eventually I buy some food and leave to be greeted again by the numbing rain. Today's been alright I guess.
