Lying down on the bed, Rohit was looking at the fan and was wondering why it rotates in anti- clockwise direction.
Virat had been rested for the Asia Cup and he had no one to fight with . So ,it was obvious that he would be bored .
As if Virat could use telepathy, he video called Rohit just then.
He picked up and the first thing that Virat said was ,'Are you sleeping at this time?'
'Did you call me just to check that ?' retorted Ro sulking.
Though Virat would never admit it , but he kind of wanted Ro to be asleep so that he could wake him up and then they would fight.
'It's better to check when it comes to you.' shrugged Virat.
Rohit huffed.
'So what's going on in the team ?' asked Virat .
'Nothing much . We have the last league match on 25th' said Rohit uninterested.
Virat rolled his eyes.
'You know Ro , even if I am not in the team , I still follow everything. Of course I know that .'
'Then why.....'
Rohit was cut off as Virat continued, ' Anyways, where is Mahi bhai ? He isn't picking up my calls. '
Rohit averted his eyes looking embarrassed .
'What happened, Ro? ' asked Virat looking confused.
'That...Uh..I had ...borrowed his ...phone in the stadium as ... I forgot mine ..in the hotel and then....'
'Then ?' asked Virat .
'Then I ..... left his...at the... stadium' admitted Rohit rubbing his nape.
Virat stared at him owlishly for a few moments before he burst out laughing.
'Earlier you used to misplace your belongings and now you do it with others' too. Good progress ,Ro ' said Virat choking with laughter.
'Shut up ,Vi!' exclaimed Rohit looking mortified.
'Did Mahi bhai scold you ?' asked Virat looking a bit too happy.
'Yeah ...but not too much'
'Ro, you remeber how scared you were when you lost your phone in the stadium in our early days?'
'I do. Afterall,Mahi bhai had threatened me.'
'You always do something to get scolded' said Virat with a teasing smile.
'As if you don't get scolded every day'
'Atleast not for looking at the ball when you should be looking at your partner while running. You always get people run out.'said Virat smirking.
'He didn't get run out!'exclaimed Rohit .
' But he was about to be if he didn't reach in the nick of time . Leave that, you remember the look he gave you ? You did not look at him for a complete over' said Virat laughing.
'I didn't have the courage to do so. I could feel his eyes on me throughout ' said Rohit remembering the incident laughingly.
'He can be scary at times. When we were new to the team , we used to be intimidated by his presence only' said Virat reminiscing the memories.
'The captain like aura used to make us so conscious sometimes.
But he eased us using his Mahi bhai special skills' said Rohit smiling.
'And now we rant about anything and everything to him ' added Virat .
