Writer's Block (A Fairy Tail fanfic starring my favorite ship, NaLu!)

JAIL...and several confessions

The tattooed goon kept on staring at her chest through the bars and it was creeping her out. Lucy angled her body slightly so her boobs weren't facing him as much, but he continued to stare nonetheless. Lucy attempted to ignore him, and looked at Natsu, who was still nursing his bruised cheek.
"Is your cheek okay?" Lucy asked tentatively. Natsu glanced at her and smiled weakly.
"Yeah, it's fine. Ya don't need to worry Luce, a bruise like this is nothing!"
Clearly, it wasn't just nothing. The bruise was a purplish-blue hue that dominated the right side of his face. It looked pretty nasty to Lucy and was surprisingly large. When they got arrested, Natsu ended up having his face slammed into the hood of a police car, though Lucy didn't think it would cause such a bruise. Lucy sighed, suddenly miserable. The officer who arrested them took her notebook and she had no idea where Happy went.
"I'm sorry," she mumbled apologetically. Natsu turned towards her, surprised.
"Lucy, it's not your fault-"
She cut him off, "Yes it is! It was my fault for leaving the notebook there! And I'm sorry for being so useless and stupid. Lisanna wouldn't do something like this, huh? She wouldn't cause you this much trouble, what are you doing here with me then?" Lucy felt tears well up in her eyes, and ashamed, she buried her face into her hands, a few sobs bubbling up her throat.
Natsu reached over and hugged her, cutting off her sobs and held her close.
"It's not your fault, okay? So stop crying, because when you cry, I feel...never mind. At least this'll make for a good story, right?" Natsu chirped, then settled into a comfortable silence.
Eventually Lucy ceased her weeping and when she looked up, she and Natsu were being led out of the cell. "W-what?" Lucy wondered as they stepped out of the cell. She glanced quizzically at the cop, who shrugged and pointed to a familiar face.
"Erza!" Natsu whooped and dashed forward to greet her, only to be whacked right onto his bruised cheek.
"Owww!" whined Natsu, gripping his injured cheek as he stumbled backwards.
"What were you two thinking? You're lucky I bailed both of you out!" Erza snarled, but behind her furious scowl, there was a hint of concern. Lucy whispered her thanks, still ashamed and raw from her confession, which was probably overheard by everyone in the building thanks to her loud wailing. She managed to get her notebook back (thankfully) and everything sorted out. Erza drove both of them back to Lucy's house and when the blonde shot the cop a confused look, she whispered that Natsu was probably better off at Lucy's house. Lucy helped Natsu out and sitting on her porch was none other than Happy.
"You damn cat," Lucy chuckled as she retrieved her key from her pocket. She unlocked the door and they all piled in.
Suddenly she felt familiar calloused hands wrap around her wrist and gently pull her around. She looked up into Natsu's face, took in the ginormous bruise, his tense jaw, his mussed hair.
"Don't compare yourself to Lisanna, alright? I'll always love her, but...you're my present and she's my past. The only thing we can do is to move forward and to never stop," he declared, and was promptly surprised when Lucy stood on her toes and slammed her mouth to his. The notebook fell to the floor with an audible thump and bounced open, revealing several pages worth of writing.
"Oh!" Lucy bent down to pick up the notebook, ignoring Natsu's whine at the loss of contact. She rolled her eyes playfully, but another idea popped into her head. Her fingers twitched for a pencil and she sprang to her feet. "I just got another idea for a chapter. Make yourself at home, don't set anything on fire and make sure Happy doesn't eat anything off the floor!" she instructed before breezing into her office and getting to work. Natsu smiled tiredly and he scooped Happy into his arms. The cat yowled indignantly but did not resist.
"She's really something, huh Happy." He sighed contentedly before settling down on the couch.
