The leaves crunched beneath our feet as we walk through the forest, our wolf eyes scanning the area for our sister. It was pitch black outside, myself and Derek trudging through the woods to find our sister Laura. Deep down, i thought the worst. Something just wasn't sitting right. Laura had been missing for three days, one of which Derek had been helping me search.
"Her scent just drops here. I've been trying for days" I said, smelling the shirt again.
Derek looked around cautiously, his eyes searching for anything that could give us a clue.
"She had a lead, i don't think its a coincidence she went missing. I bet hunters" Derek explained, snatching the shirt off me and trying to catch a scent.
"You think...she's dead?" I inquired, kicking a stone.
I watched as it flew forward, hitting the ground with a soft thump as i frowned.
"Sadly, i think so" He sighed, a downhearted expression on his face.
It was sad to think that another Hale was dead. Now it was down to three, but Peter was unresponsive so it may as well be two.

Looking down, i scuffed my heel idly as i became immersed in my thoughts.

"Did you try tracking in your wolf form?" My brother asked, breaking me out of my thoughts

"Did you try tracking in your wolf form?" My brother asked, breaking me out of my thoughts.
"Yeah," I began, "didn't help much"
Something genetic both myself and Laura inherited was the ability to turn fully into a wolf. It wasn't something i did often because it wasn't exactly incognito. Wolves weren't exactly in California. Sometimes i liked just liked roaming through the woods in my wolf form but it was a pain stashing clothes around.

Twigs snapping caught my attention as we looked around. A sniffed the air, scrunching it up at the familiar scent. Stiles and Scott. They were probably looking for the body that he text me about earlier. I lied and said i was helping my brother move back into town, which wasn't a complete lie. I was rather preoccupied with searching for my sister.
"Come on, i lied to those two. They can't know i'm here" I urged, grasping his arm firmly in mine to leave.

"So, find the body?" I asked, catching up to Stiles outside the school.
"No," He grumbled, "My dad caught me first"
I laughed at him as he glared, Scott walking over to us.
"So, let's see this" Stiles said, rubbing his hands together manically.
"See what?" I asked before Scott raised his shirt to show a bite.
My eyes widened, the bite looking remarkably familiar to one i could give someone. I definitely didn't bite Scott, and i didn't know anyone in Beacon Hills who would. Maybe it was a coyote?
"It was too dark to see very much, but i'm pretty sure it's was a wolf" Scott responded, confirming my thoughts.
Shit, shit, shit, shit.
"A wolf bit you? No, not a chance" Stiles denied as we walked towards the front of the school.
"There aren't any in California" I carried on, shutting down what Scott thought he saw.

Scott frowned, a little taken a back we didn't believe him.
"I heard a wolf howling" He defended, staring between us.
"No, you didn't" Stiles carried on.
"What do you mean i didn't? How do you know what i heard?" Scott asked.
"As already stated," Stiles began as he tilted his head towards me, "California hasn't had wolves for sixty years"
"Really?" Scott asked with an increasingly sunken frown.
"Do i speak another language?" I asked, throwing my hands up.
Stiles looked at me, knowing how i felt. Sometimes it was like we said things and it just went through one ear and out the other to Scott.
"Yes, really, look there's no wolfs in California" Stiles carried on, Scott giving up his argument.
Oh how wrong Stiles was. He didn't realise he was stood right next to one.
