Part 5: Sailor's Suga and to be decided- pt1

Namjoon wasn't very keen on the idea of letting two intelligent life forms he didn't know very well run rampant in his apartment even though the instant connection was undeniable but he wasn't sure the alterior choice was much better, no matter how much Taehyung promised "I've done it before and you clearly never noticed."

So there they were walking side by side with one hand on their own pockets trying to make the lumps inside as discreet but still comfortable as possible.

"I still don't think this is a good idea."

"You worry to much hyung."

And maybe he had a good reason for that, especially when he saw Jimin literally leap into Taehyung's arms as they did one of their usual dramatic reunions.

Especially when he's sure he heard a very faint pained squeak, and maybe Jimin did to with how quickly he detached himself but he didn't say anything after so maybe not.

Namjoon wasn't really sure.

If anything he was a little scatter brained, never being the best with fibs when it came to his best friends, and Yoongi must've immediately noticed that if the elders subtle hand on his back as a form of silent comfort was anything to go by.

That was one of his favourite things about his hyung, when situations arise he's patient to knowing the reason but always eager to comfort.

Which normally would be a good thing but his jacket was unzipped and his pockets were more towards his back and 'what if Yoongi hyung notices? What if Kiki moves? Is Kiki even breathing? She hasn't moved for a while, is she okay?' But Taehyung was quick to drag him out of his mini spiral, clapping his hands obnoxiously and declaring he needs a snack as sweet as his soulmate and he needed it ten minutes ago.

Aka he wanted ice cream and successfully swayed his best friend into buying his by the simple act of flattery.

They were wrapped around each others fingers and so close people might've thought they were dating if they were open enough to the idea of two men dating, the country sadly still being rather conservative towards such things, but nope.

They might swing both ways but they only swung for each other on a deep connected, platonic level.

They were the brOTP of dreams.

Platonic soulmates.

Oblivious to the world and a very simple, very clear point that Namjoon who knew all he knew in that moment probably could've put together but he hadn't really had the time to zone out and just think yet, maybe he wouldn't have to.

No he definitely wouldn't have to after Jimin reached his hand into the pocket Kiki was being held and screamed "THERES SOMETHING FURRY IN YOUR POCKET AND IT MOVED!"

All he wanted was to walk to the ice cream shop but Namjoon had no plans on moving on his own judging by the fact he didn't follow, even with Yoongi tugging his other arm lightly, and it's not like the pair- actually the whole group weren't used to hand holding (especially with a certain Min Yoongi around.)

But nope.

Didn't happen.

Instead "HOW DARE YOU CALL KIKI SOMETHING FURRY!" Was being yelled by Taehyung and Yoongi was moving to his other side, prying his hand from his pocket to see the small sugar glider being gently cradled in his hand and all Namjoon could do was blush in embarrassment and look down.

Speechless.

He was speechless, but luckily Jimin could do enough talking and reasoning for them all apparently if his "WAIT YOU HAVE ONE TOO?!" Was anything to go off.

At first glance Namjoon and Taehyung thought maybe Jimin had one too, but then the mochi continued "When did you and Taehyung have the time to get the two babies and I can't believe neither of you have said anything. Taehyung it's been three weeks I thought you were just hiding it like that box of kittens you took in and fostered one time. But Namjoonie I had no idea!"

Taking a hesitant step forward Jimin raised his significantly smaller hand and looked at Namjoon before asking "Can I stroke- her? I know their social and all but I don't wanna just touch her, you know the whole you shouldn't touch someone's dog without the owners permission thing still applies." And Namjoon could only smile proudly and nod because when did his boy grow up?

'Wow I really do sound like a dad sometimes'

Jimin happily reached forward holding his hand closer to the sugar gliders face as Taehyung and Yoongi both stood watching with their jaws dropped, albeit for different reasons.

And Namjoon could see the cogs turning in both of their heads so as the sugar glider quickly warmed up to Jimin and moved into his hands (yes it took two) he decided to give answers to both questions.

First he turned to Yoongi and said "Long story." Then looked to Jimin who took the prompt after a moment before smiling sheepishly and saying "Longer story, well I doubt it but I'm busy right now. I think I just found my new soulmate."

And that was when Taehyung broke, literally.

No words, no moving, damn he barely even breathed until Jimin blew him a kiss saying "I thought we were open to more than one baby bear." Which was enough for Taehyung to zone back in and hold his own hands forward with YeonYeon bluntly saying "This is my soulmate YeonYeon, whom I thought was my best kept secret."

And then Jimin dramatically hissed, pulling through sugar glider in his hands closer to his chest for emphasis before agreeing "Your right that does hurt a little considering we've only just met. It should've been love of my life not soul mate. That's reserved to our bundle of idiots."

(" YOUR bundle of idiots?" "Not the time Yoongi hyungie.")

Namjoon just smiled as he watched.

The two youngest went back and forth for a while so Yoongi turned his full attention to an already waiting Namjoon and queried "Long story?" Getting a nod then he continued "Looks like it's gonna be a cafe kind of day today then."
