Chapter 13: Better Then Before

Lumine's P.O.V.

As Kody slowly stopped crying, I stroked his black hair. After a while, I think he fell asleep. I laid him onto the bed and put a blanket over him. I left the room and went to look for Aiden.

Luckily, Aiden was on the couch watching TV. I walk to the couch and sit next to him. He noticed and looked at me.

"Oh Lumine. How is he?"

"He's doing better. But I still think you should talk to him."

"I think you're right. He's gone through a lot..." Aiden says as he gets up and makes his way to Kody's room.

Aiden's P.O.V.

I got up to go talk to Kody. 'I know I want always there for him before, but bows my chance to make it up to him. I will do as much as I can to help him.'

I slowly open the door. I see that he's sleeping, so I sit next to him.

"L-Lumine?" Kody faintly says.

"No, it's dad." He immediately opened his eyes and sat up.

"What do you want?" He says in a monotone voice.

"Is something wrong Kody."

"No." He simply says.

"I know something's bothering you. I know I should've been a better father to you, but now I'm gonna make it up to you. I promise nothing will happen to you or your "boyfriend." I know your scared, I will always be there for you..." I hug my son, thinking about what's going through his mind. "Also, Kody. We will be going back home next week. Don't worry, the place is on high security and we will teleport so no trails." I say as I then left the room. I was just about to close the door when...

"D-dad?"

"Yeah son?"

"I might not say this much but I love you."

"I love you too son." I start to cry a little so I exit the room. I feel better that I had talked to Kody. I just want him to know I'm always there for him.
