Music was fun being a mermaid I can sing but I have to be careful because if I slip into my siren song I'll have every man in a 20 mile radius at my beck and call. After class it was lunch and although Malia had a few weird moments during class she invited me to eat lunch with her. Maku had given me money earlier to get lunch. I wasn't sure how I would like human food, I'm used to fish and seaweed down in the ocean but I'll give anything a try once. Malia told me what to stay away from and what tasted decent and she then led me to her table. That smell was back and I was looking round the cafeteria to see if I could pinpoint its location. I finally figured out where it was coming from and it seemed that that's the direction Malia was leading me to.

"Everyone say hello to Serena, she's new. Serena say hello to everyone. This is Jack, Joey, Claire, Heather, Nick, Katrina and that doofus over there is my brother Jace." It was him her brother and the smell was coming off of him. He was the one who barged into the reception earlier, I must have been smelling him all day but why did he smell so good. It wasn't till someone coughed that I snapped out of whatever trance I was in. I quickly sat down and started eating "So Serena where are you from?" I think Nick asked "Oh you know around. We moved around a lot, never staying in one place but we are expected to stay in Kauai for quite some time. We don't know how long for." Nick nodded seeming to be fine with my answer. I went back to my food and I finally managed to sneak a look at Jace. He was looking at me so it seemed like the world stopped spinning and everything in my life was perfect. Michael and Isaac were gone and I was able to go back to the ocean with no trouble. It was magical like nothing I had ever felt before.

It was like I had known him all my life and when I looked into his eyes those chocolaty eyes everything fit just right. I had only read about mating in books and what my father had told me but I had never heard about different species mating. I didn't even know that mermaids could mate. I thought that it was just wolves. But here I am staring into my mates eyes and I couldn't be happier. I was still stuck in my trance when I was pulled out of the room. I could hear people follow but I was too focused on what was happening.
