The next morning, everyone gets more busier. We designed and prepared lanterns all day yesterday. And today, we are finally going to let it fly. But first we were assigned to put all the lanterns on the village near the sea already so it would be easier for us later to go there without carrying anything. We will going to let it fly on the evening so we will have a better view. After putting all the lanterns down the village, Mina suddenly noticed something. "They are already building new houses for the villagers," she said as she looked on our left side. I looked at where she was looking and saw some workers building new houses already. It feels like yesterday when these houses were burned.
"That's good, at-least they will going to have their land back." I replied. "Are they going to the celebration later?" I asked
"Of course they will," she answered. Then we go back to our work. When we went back to the kingdom I heard Manoban's voice announcing something so we went closer to her to hear clearly what she's saying.
"Everyone, gather to the prayer room!" She yelled.
"Come on," Mina pulled my hand as we followed the other servants going to the prayer room. All of them were already kneeling down while holding some purple stick. They are closing their eyes as they pray properly.
Since I don't know how to pray like them I just followed Mina on how she'll pray. She took some sticks and let the top of the stick burn on the fire. Then she knelt down and closed her eyes. Before I can finally close my eyes, I saw the name of the former king in front.
DAE-JUNG
I looked everywhere but I can't see the Queen and the King around. I just came back to my senses when Mina hit me with her elbow.
"You'll be scolded again," she warned.
I immediately closed my eyes and pray for the former King, Dae Jung. After praying, everyone went outside excitedly. Mina is even jumping as she goes out of the room.
"What's on with you?" I chuckled.
"It's a free day today! No servants and no training for the warriors. We will go down the near sea, and we will celebrate!" she exclaimed
"We really celebrate his death anniversary this way?" I asked
"Yup. The king asked Queen Rosé to do this on his death anniversary. We will celebrate and we will not waste any tears." She winked
"That's so nice of him," I smiled. "How did you guys celebrate his death anniversary last year?" I asked
"I ate barbecues. I dance, someone even sing. It's all about fun, but Jihyo and others were so boring that's why I had fun alone. Thank God you're here." she said. "When the sun goes down we will all be ready to fly our lanterns. It's like we are going to the ask the King how is he up there." She even pointed the sky.
"Mina, Jennie! Ride on the carriage now." Sana called our attention. We immediately ran and ride the carriage.
When we arrived the destination, I saw how beautiful this whole place. There's full of lanterns everywhere, there are some people who are selling foods, and some of them are letting us play games for free like in carnivals.
"Aish!! I'm excited!" Mina exclaimed happily. I smiled as I watch her smiling so widely, it's like I am with Nayeon. They are both jolly, they want adventures, games especially foods. "Come on Jen, let's play some games! Over there over there!" I just let her pulled my arm on where she wants to go.
