Today was the day my father got out of prison. I've always wondered what it would be like to have a daddy or to be daddy's girl. I've never really knew the story behind my dad being locked up but ik it's been a damn long 15 years. It's just been my mom,me, and my sister justice for all these years just getting by ig. My mom works full time bc she needs to provide for her children so that kinda leaves no time for us but it is what it is. I always felt if my dad never got locked up things would be way better and we would be a closer and happier family. Well lemme stop my day dreaming.
Today I had to go to work which meant I wouldn't be seeing my dad right away when he got out. I got up showered and put on my work uniform ready to go as asked my sister to take me. My sister Candice is 19 and still living with me and mommy working part time and going to nursing school.
U excited about dad getting out.

He was a great dad before he got locked up just a lil strict she explained.
Hopefully not to strict cuz ion got the time for the lil girl bs I said laughing.
Will definitely see she said parking the car letting me get out.

When I clocked in it was already busy, so just went straight to the window taking orders when this loud ass car pulled up to my window already annoying me.
"Hey beautiful" ,the boy said smiling but I paid no mind to him.

"I already know I am so there's no reason i need to hear it from you" , I said handing him back hours change.
"Awww U think u smart huh", he said grinning.
"Sir have a nice day ",I said handing him his food.
"Ima see yo cute ass tmr" he said grinning while driving away.
In my head I'm thinking plz don't come back but then I'm like yes plz bring yo cute ass back. My shift was finally over so I caught a Uber home. When I got unlocked the door I seen him sitting on the couch. I was shocked it was really him my own daddy. I didn't even know what to say so I kinda just stared at him shocked.
"Yo mama didn't teach u manners", he interrupted getting up
"Ugh my bad I'm just so shocked it's u"
"Come give pops a hug"
I gave him a long ass hug and I just felt I finally had something that was missing.
"Yo mama told me you working now, that's good"
"Yeh just tryna get some extra money to help around here nothing much and get me some extra things"
"No need for that cuz I got y'all now"
Finally I relief a burden from my moms and me
"Hopefully", I responded
"Well ima gon Head and speak to yo mama ima catch u later kid"

I walked in my room shocked asf it was really him. No words could explain how happy I am. I had to work tmr so I got in the shower and went straight in my room to take a nap as usual .
