Chapter 1:. Regrets (Part 2)

Maki was lying, unconscious. He hit his head on the corner of the table, His head is bleeding.

I tried explaining to Martin what happened.

"I-I didn't mean to! I-I accidentally pushed him! This isn't... This wasn't supposed to happen.. Martin! Believe me please!"

Even though I get abused by my parents, I still care for my younger siblings.

Martin consoled me.

"It's okay."

Martin ran towards Maki, then carrying him. He was doing all the work while I was just standing there, looking at Maki's unconscious body.

I wasn't crying. Not a single tear. What happened to me? It's like this so called accident is normal for me.

Martin went to his room with Maki, and I followed. He puts Maki on his bed.

Martin then took a clean, soft clothe and rinsed it. He then tied it on Maki's head.

Martin looks like he doesn't believe me.

"Martin! It was an accident! He was pulling my hair. I accidentally pushed him! Believe me!"

Martin frowned.

"I believe you. But you know mom and dad will eventually find out."

It's already 9. They should be asleep because they was just having sex earlier. I need to find a way hide evidence.

I need to clean the blood in the living room.

-30 minutes later-

I finished cleaning the blood. Well that's what I thought anyway. Everyone's already asleep. Mom and dad will eventually find out what happened to Maki.

I walked towards the kitchen to eat an apple. Only when everyone's asleep, that's when I can only eat something decent.

I went to the counter, on top of it was a plate full of fruits. I don't want it to be obvious, so I only took a single apple.

I went to the living room and sat down and watch television. Today's the day I can get to escape, but I just don't want to leave Martin and Maki.
Especially after what I did to Maki.

After a while, I heard footsteps coming from the staircase. . .

And I saw him and I asked him.

"Why are you still awake?"
