My Façade

A flawless façade

Nobody sees all her hurt

Nor all of her pain

All her dreams long-forgotten

Crushed or unachieved

The sad little broken girl

Her perfect mask hides the truth

Who is this young one

The one who wears such a mask

One sad and broken

The one with the broken dreams

That sad broken girl is me

No one sees my pain

Nor the many tears I've cried

Burying sadness

They see a happy young girl

All they see is the façade

My mask is cracking

But still only few see me

I can't let them see

The sad little broken girl

Sad and broken, that is me

A hard outer shell

Strengthened by others mean words

A flawless façade

Hiding the broken inside

Hiding the broken one, me

*A.N. So this is a choka, it's a Japanese type of poetry and we were writing these in English today so I figured I'd write one for you guys. It is kinda really depressing and repetetive but I hadn't had the best of days today and bad days usually translate into poetry days. Anyway if you like it vote comment and all that jazz
