The moment Aiden touched me, I melted. His soft index finger ran down the side of my temple as he looked me straight in the eye. His body was so close to mine I could feel the heat radiating off of him, and on to me. I didn’t know what to do though; I was confused and didn’t know how to react to him. He made me feel like I was walking on eggshells around him. His expression was unreadable and it wasn’t like I could see him in the darkness of my bedroom. With the moon above my window being the only source of light, my chances of seeing anything were scarce. I moved back putting space between us and felt my breathing resume. I looked at him again as he stood in the same place, his smoldering green eyes sparkling under the moonlight.
“You scared me,” I finally said looking at my white socks.
“Sorry,” he said unaffectedly.
“It’s fine.” I climbed onto my bed
I looked over at him as he walked over to the other side of the bed and climbed in. I turned away from him, wishing he would pull me in but he didn’t. I looked over my shoulder and saw his back was facing mine. I rolled back on to my side and looked out of my window. Maybe I was wrong.
