I tagged myself out of his grip, my eyes wide. The look on his face was fearful but I was only thinking about one thing, one person. Mase. I turned my head and looked at Linds, her face held almost no emotion, but her eyes were wide, shock.

"Go" I whispered as though she may actually be able to hear me. "Go Linds!" I yelled.

I watched as her hands gripped the wheel tightly, her instincts kicking in and she hit the gas. I turned back to my mate, his eyebrows furrowed as the car sped off. His face going blank once his eyes met mine.

"I don't know who that is but follow them." My mate husked out to what must have been a nearby pack member. I growled at him in defence, I was surprised when I saw the pack member pause at my anger. Xavier scanned my face before a smirk crawled across his face "go ahead" he motioned to the man once more.

"Are you sure you want to do that?" I asked menacingly. "Sending me away means one less person to chase me when I run, and I can assure you. I will run." I gritted through my teeth.

His eyes narrowed, and I smiled sweetly. "Don't test me Mate" he bit out, "you are not going anywhere". I rolled my eyes in annoyance or anger, either way the frustration was there. His eyes were still black, it wasn't Xavier talking it was his wolf.

Xavier was completely out of control at this moment, surprised my wolf still sat quietly in my mind. Her first priority the same as mine, Mason, not the wannabe aqua man that stood in front of us.

He was pretty close to pulling his hair out as he walked in aggressive circles in front of me. Still too close to me if I were to run. Calling my wolf, I felt for Mason's presence and for once I was glad to feel that he wasn't anywhere close.

I took a few steps back to lean on the closely parked car, hoping to use it as a continued distraction, my distancing didn't go unnoticed. 3 pairs of eyes stayed traced on me, not even recognizing that the car I was leaning against was the very one that should be following my family right now. Xaviers wolfs appearance must have thrown them all off task.

I tapped my foot impatiently, my bags were still in my hands and they were getting heavy but if I put them down they would be swiftly ruined by the brown slush from this mornings snowfall. The two male warriors spoke lowly to each other and I couldn't make out what were they were saying. I left out a low growl and the two men pursed their lips together, "somewhere to be?" my mate finally snapping his attention back to me.

I thought of Mason. "Yes actually, it was great catching up but I will see you in another 4 years." I had only taken a few steps away from the car when I was thrown back into it, my hands were pinned beside my head and Xavier was close, my body was on fire.

I was trying to hold my breath but he was panting, his breath fanning my neck and I shivered. The spot where my mate mark was supposed to be. He pulled back, his eyes had quieted and were finally green again. His face showing nothing, the same expression I had seen him wear the day he had left me.

The bags I had carried out were consumed by slush, Masons new spider-man pyjamas were stained and the banana bread was now flavoured with mud. I have had enough of this, this is a waste of time. His friends were looking away from what they thought was a private moment shared between mates, they were wrong.  I took my opportunity, I sent my head up into his nose, his surprise was evident and I took advantage. His hands were to his blood spurting nose and I swiped at his knees, taking his feet out from under him and then I ran.

It only took me a few steps to shift, I knew I would be tracked. I hadn't recognized the two pack members, but I knew that they were high ranked warriors, that could be concluded without the aura they give off. They were buff and given any other circumstance, I may have looked a second longer at their muscle but in this case their muscle would be their weakness and I would be able to beat them in a foot race.
