(A/N: Aaaah. Writing this and proofreading during No Nut November. Sweet. I mean, I failed so I could be a part of Nonstop Nut November but still. I did say possible smexy time so that's on me. Tell me if I could've improved anything. Now, let's see how well a virgin can describe sex. I hope you enjoy this part.)
I walked around the snowy forest with only my dagger strapped to my chest and bow in hand and arrows in the quiver on my back. Let's see what animal I can kill tonight. We've only been having produce since we left. Some meat would probably be good to have. I continued looking down and saw an indent in the ground so I knelt down and lightly touched the small indent.
(Y/N): Tracks. The pattern looks like a hare probably. That should be more than enough to feed Fuyumi and I. Indent looks pretty deep so it's fairly recent. Direction looks... east maybe. I would assume less than a quarter of a mile in that direction than if it walked and didn't get scared off.
I stood up and slowly started following the tracks. After a minute, I saw the hare next to a bush, eating the leaves on it. I crouched down and quietly took an arrow out of the quiver and notched it. I aimed at the hare and took a quiet but deep breathe before exhaling and firing the arrow. The arrow shot out and pierced the hare in the throat, killing it instantly as it let out a slight squeak. I stood up while putting the bow on my back, walked up to the hare, picked it up and turned around to start walking back the way I came. As I was walking, I looked up at the sky seeing the Sun was about to set. Might be a slightly late dinner but I don't think Fuyumi will mind. What is this world though? I can feel heat from fires and I can feel the cold air. It's almost like this whole place is real. That can't be the case though... can it? I looked back down and saw a small light a short distance away. Guess I made more ground than I thought. I walked out of the tree line and I saw Fuyumi still sitting by the fire and poking it with a stick every now and then to make sure it kept burning. I'm kind of surprised she made that. Not that I'm saying she isn't capable of making fire. I just know how hard it is to use a flint and steel for the first time. After she poked the fire, she looked over towards my direction, seeing me walking up to her, and smiled at me before tilting her head.
Fuyumi: A rabbit?
(Y/N): A hare. There's a difference.
Fuyumi: *puts hand on chest* Oh, I am so sorry, Mr. Scholar. Where did you graduate? The most prestigious school in the Mist Continent?
(Y/N): Ha ha. Anyway, this should be more than enough for us. If not, we can make some food with the produce we have.
Fuyumi nodded and I took a handkerchief out of my pocket and put it on a smooth rock nearby. I laid the hare on the handkerchief then took the arrow out of it before putting the arrowhead in the snow next to me, letting the blood drip into the snow. I took my dagger out and skinned the hare of its pelt while also starting to cut it up and take the bones out. After I finished cutting it up, I put the dagger in the snow, letting the blood drip off that too, and started putting the pieces of meat on the stick-made drying rack that we had over the fire so it could cook. I'm still surprised that that worked. I've never had much practice with making stick objects. I just read a book and practiced outside of Bleakpoint. After looking at the pieces of meat and making sure that they weren't going to fall off, I took the arrow out of the snow and walked to the tent then grabbed a rag from the essential bag before wiping the leftover blood off of the arrow. Once it was clean, I put the rag down and put the arrow back in the quiver before taking the bow and quiver off my back and putting it in the tent. I grabbed the rag and walked out of the tent and towards the fire then sat next to Fuyumi while grabbing my dagger and starting to wipe it clean of blood as I checked the hare every now and then. As I was cleaning the dagger, I felt something gently lay on my shoulder. I looked over and saw Fuyumi resting her head on my shoulder. I smiled at her before looking back at the dagger and continuing to clean it. I soon finished cleaning the dagger so I put it and the rag down on the rock that my handkerchief was on then rested my head on Fuyumi's.
