There is a band. A band we've all heard of. A band we all know. A band that changed the face of the rock era.
The Beatles.
Of course you know The Beatles, their music embodying the ideals of the era's soicalcultural revolutions, as well as touching the hearts of milions across the world, but do you know their story? Do you know how this, this revolutinary band came to be? I do.
There is a film. A film I knew I would love (just by the title I might add). A film that captures the very essencce of The Beatles and my views on music.
Nowhere Boy.
Of course you know the song, Nowhere Man, but do you know the story behind the man? The story of the nowhere boy with a wide-eyed dream, difficult family issues and a few banjo lessons? I bet you didn't. Step inside the life of sixteen year-old John Lennon, walk with him through his journey on the road of music, a road which leds him to finding himself, as well as some rightly-gained stardom.
I can honestly say that this movie was one of the most amazing movies I have ever watched. The sense of real life you get from this movie is a feeling and a memory you will hold with you forever. It will change the way you view John Lennon and The Beatles and it will break you down in the most beautiful and metaphorical way possible. It's a journey that I believe all must go through.
So please, take the time to watch this. And I don't mean watch it like 'its playing in the background while I do work' I mean REALLY watch it. Study it. Learn from it. Absorb all it has to offer and trust me when I say you will not regret it.
