IMAGINE:
You exhale the cool air from your lungs. It was winter in the New York City, New York and the Big Apple looked extravagant. Trees without leaves are covered with the Christmas lights being wrapped around them like snakes wrapping themselves at their prey. The trees aisled down to the biggest Christman tree you've ever seen. You look around the tree and see couples kissing and parents taking pictures of their children with Santa Clause though the kids are crying by how scared they are. By the tree, there was a ice skating rink where you notice tons of people skating and some looked professional in it.
Then you felt someone grab your hand. You turn and find Adam smiling and looking up the tree.
"It sure is beautiful." He says admiringly.
"Yeah. I've never seen something so magical."
"Good thing I dragged you here. I didnt want you to miss this beauty."
"And I'm glad you did."
You both then start walking towards the tree down the aisle making you feel as if you were in some fantasy land. People walked past you and surprisingly, nobody bothered you two as if they knew that bothering you guys would be unpleasant.
You two both are now at the rink and your stomach is filled with butterflies by how nervous you were on skating since it was your first time. You both enter the rink, and once you stepped foot in the rink, you felt as if you had not control and grasped the rink wall. And when you got balanced enough, you see Adam skating through the rink so majestically. Adam then sees you on the wall and skates towards you.
"Aren't you going to skate?" He asks.
"Yeah... if I knew how to."
"Oh! Well lemme teach ya. Grab my hands."
You hesitate for you were scared that you would fall if you let go from the wall.
"C'mon, sweetie. Grab my hands." He says.
"But I'm scared of falling." You reply frightened.
"Don't worry. I'll make sure you won't fall."
"You promise?"
"I promise. Don't you trust me?"
You look down feeling ashamed for doubting him.
"I trust you with my whole life." You reply.
You let go and grasp his hands. He chuckles and smiles widely.
"There ya go! Now let's skate." He says enthusiastically.
You are trembling and the ice under your feet felt so unnatural and you just let Adam skate for you by being dragged. He then is standing beside you teaching you how to skate. Slowly, you begin to move your legs and beginning to skate. He would congratulate you everytime you made a step forward, motivating you to keep moving.
"That's my girl! You got this!" He proudly tells you.
Then before you knew it, you were skating all by yourself with Adam skating beside you.
"I'm doing it! I'm doing it, Adam! I'm actually skating!" You proudly say aloud.
"I knew you could do it, love! I always believed in you." He said from behind.
You giggled from how proud you were of yourself. You grabbed Adam's hand and skated around for a while until your feet began aching. You both leave the rink and walked towards the park. You and Adam walk hand in hand talking about how fun the rink was and how this whole trip was just amazing. You two come across a bridge and when you two arrive at the middle of the bridge, you see the little river going down and see a bunch of lights straight ahead. You could hear the faint noises of the cars and voices of people but the view took your breath away. The fog from your exhale would block the view at times but that didn't bother you.
"Thank you, Adam." You thank, still looking ahead.
"For what, sweetie?" Adam asked.
"For this. For this memory that I will keep forever." You reply, now looking at him.
You take his hand and begin walking towards the end of the bridge.
"It was nothing. Anything to keep that beautiful smile on your face." He responds.
You two finally arrive at the end of the bridge. You smile at him, holding both of his hands. He then looks up and looks back down at you.
"Well don't you have a look at that." He chuckles, looking back up.
You look up and notice a mistletoe above. You blush and look back at Adam.
"Hmm what a nice little touch." You comment.
He bites his lip. He lets go of your hands and cups your face with his hands which was warm as his heart. He leans in halfway while you leaned towards him the rest of the way and kissed his warm, tender lips.
Moments later, you both pull away and you put your arm under his and begin walking into the park, letting each other provide conpany without saying a word.
