A happy-go-lucky teenager walked joyfully across the street, smiling brightly at every sharp turn.
He always carried a smile on his face, but there was a frown in his heart. Looking around at all of the people walking by, noticing that they all had their own unique flaws and traits, good and bad, sad and happy.
Alex sighed deeply, but a newfound smile crept onto his face.
"Today,"
He muttered,
"is a new day!"
With a smiley face looking up to the sky, that's all it took for fate to change life so drastically.
Alex was known to be a fairly lucky kid.
"The gods seem to smile upon you, kid,"
The worker commented,
"they must consider your luck."
He gave her a friendly smile.
"They may. But I'd like to think it's destiny that does all that stuff!"
She hummed an 'mhmm' and huffed.
"If only I had your luck, maybe I wouldn't be where I ended up.."
A hand landed gently on her shoulder.
"You don't need to be lucky to accomplish anything! You only need to believe in yourself. To me, that's luck."
He received a small smile and an eye roll.
"Whatever you say,"
She chuckled lightly,
"whatever you say."
