As the door clicked shut and silence wrapped around me once more, I finally released the breath I had been holding, exhaling deeply to expel the tension that had built up inside me.

I refused to show my vulnerability in front of them. I didn't want them to perceive me as weak or fragile. I am neither of those things, and I certainly wouldn't reveal my true emotions to them.

That infuriating woman had left me blindfolded, making it impossible to determine her exact position. If only I could discern her presence, I would have swiftly brought her down with a forceful headbutt.

My lungs still burned, and my hair and T-shirt clung to me, drenched from the cold water that had been mercilessly poured over me.

Although I couldn't fathom the reason behind my abduction, I knew it had something to do with my father. Had he borrowed money from these people and failed to repay them? Or did he anger them to such an extent that they resorted to kidnapping me for unknown motives that eluded my comprehension?

Regardless of the duration they intended to keep me captive, I would never disclose my father's whereabouts to them. I didn't even know his current location. Before I left for this place, he assured me that he would send someone to pick me up from the airport and take me to him. However, I had a strong inkling of where he might be.

A slight breeze swept through the hellish room, causing me to shiver uncontrollably. The water-soaked clothes clung to my body, intensifying the cold sensation.

Stay strong. Conceal your emotions. Don't give up.

The annoying yet supportive voice inside my head repeated these three sentences incessantly. I would endure whatever torments awaited me, refusing to succumb to the methods that women had planned to employ to extract information from me. Eventually, I would conquer this ordeal.

Undoubtedly, my father must have realized by now that I was missing. He probably deduced that I had been kidnapped, and the authorities were likely scouring the area in search of me.

My arm throbbed from being bound behind the chair all day. I twisted my hands, attempting to alleviate the discomfort caused by the tightly tied rope, only to wince in agony as the burning sensation emanated from my wrists.

Damn, it hurts like hell! They've probably left bruises by now.

The sound of the door unlocking prompted me to freeze. Bowing my head, I fervently prayed that they hadn't returned to resume their malevolent activities. I hadn't anticipated their swift return.

The light footsteps reverberated within the room, followed by the click of the door closing once more.

The faint echo of heels clicking against the floor indicated the presence of a woman, most likely that same detestable individual.

"Back to continue your twisted games?" I uttered aloud, addressing no one in particular.

The clicking of heels halted directly in front of me, causing me to inhale sharply.

I felt her hands at the back of my head, untying the blindfold that obstructed my vision.

"Hey, what are you—" As soon as the blindfold was removed, a flood of bright light assailed my vision, forcing me to close my eyes momentarily and blink repeatedly to regain focus.

Squinting around the room, I finally laid eyes on the person standing before me, realizing it wasn't the same woman as before but someone else entirely.
