You leaned your head back against the cold window, steadying your breath. You stared at your master, lying in a heap on the floor in front of you.
Your head was pounding. You could only imagine how bad his headache would be when he wakes up. You weren't sure why, but part of you felt bad. He was hurting. But that didn't change what he did.
You looked up at the clock, 3:00 am. You knew you wouldn't be able to sleep anymore tonight. Especially not with a ticking time bomb lying unconscious in front of you. Slowly, you forced yourself onto your feet.
You did the only thing that seemed right. You walked over to Kylo Ren, and started to lift him onto your shoulders. His massive size made it almost impossible. On your third try, you carried him to your bed on weakening knees.
You heaved him onto the bed, feeling relieved as the weight left your body. You stood over him, contemplating what to do next. He looked peaceful for once. But even in his sleep, it didn't last long.
His face started to contort. It tensed like he was in pain, making you worry that it was from his hit against the wall. You could see the sweat forming on his forehead. You raised your hand up to place on his head, looking for a bump.
The second your hand connected with his head, you felt an intense pain. It was Kylo Ren's pain. You quickly pulled your hand away, stunned by the feelings that flowed through him into you. Regret, pain, loss, and anger continuing to breech his mind. You looked down to see his face relax. It was as if you took some of his pain away.
Seconds later, the disturbing expression came back to your master's face. You knew he must have been having a horrible dream, like you did not 20 minutes earlier, causing sympathy to rise from your heart. You wanted to take away his pain, let him rest in peace.
You sat down next to him, moving his head to rest in your lap. You placed your hand onto his head and concentrated. You let his negative energy enter your body, where it turned light. His breathing steadied and his body relaxed as you flooded him with light energy.
You're body began to get weaker. You couldn't continue for much longer, so you pulled back your hand to catch your breath. His body stayed calm even after your hand was gone.
Still wanting to comfort him, you did what you had always done when people were scared or upset. You placed your hand into his long, soft hair, and began to slowly brush it through with your fingers. While you did so, you sung the song you had always sung when things got tough.
"Hey Jude, don't make it bad.
Take a sad song and make it better."You could feel him beginning to wake up, but decided not to stop what you were doing. You wanted him to feel the peace in the room. You looked out the window as you continued to sing.
"Remember to let her into your heart.
Then you can start, to make it better"As you finished, you looked down to see someone you knew wasn't Kylo Ren. It was Ben Solo.
"You sang that when I first saw you." He said as he began to sit up.
You smiled, "I didn't think you'd remember."
"How could I forget? I was walking down the corridor when I heard you singing. I followed the noise, and then I saw you. Laying on the floor looking up to the ceiling."
He looked down. "The look on your face when you first saw me was pure terror. I could never forget that."
You thought back to when you first saw him and the thoughts you had about who he was. Oh how wrong you were.
