Simon x Alec

Simon rushed down the halls of the institute tears streaming down his face. He had just walked into Clary's room to see her making out with another guy. He couldn't believe she would cheat on him. As Simon quickly turned the corner he ran into someone and fell to the floor. He looked up and saw Alec.

"Hey Simon sorry about......whoa are you okay?" He said probably noticing Simon's tears.

Simon scooted to sit against the wall and said "Do you want me to be honest or do you want me to lie like I do most of the time?"

Alec crouched down and sat beside Simon. "What happened?" He asked.

"Clary....." Simon said, "S-she's cheating on me."

"How do you know?" Alec asked.

"Cause I just walked into her room to see her making out with some random guy." He answered.

Simon looked down at the ground between his legs, avoiding eye contact with him.

"Simon....." Alec said, "Look at me."

He sighed and lifted his head up. "If she can't see how kind, intelligent, brave, and loyal you are, then she doesn't deserve to have you as a friend let alone a boyfriend. Okay?"

Simon didn't respond and looked forward at the wall in front of him.

Alec reached his hand over and cupped Simon's far cheek, forcing Simon to look at him.

"Okay?" He repeated.

Simon nodded and sniffled. Alec used his thumb and wiped away Simon's tears.

"Close your eyes." He demanded.

Simon agreed, too tired to argue, and closed his eyes.

Nothing seemed to happen but seconds later Simon felt Alec's warm breath on his face before he pressed his lips against Simon's. Simon didn't hesitate to kiss back as it felt right. Like more right than kissing Clary.

Alec pulled away and asked "Simon. Will you be my boyfriend?"

"Yeah." Simon said, the surface of a laugh under his voice.

Alec smiled and kissed him again.

The Next Day

Alec and Simon were currently sitting together on a couch in the middle of the institute.

Alec laid back and rested his feet on the table in front of them as Simon curled into his side.

When they heard first steps they both looked up to see Clary walking into the room.

"Simon." Clary said walking down the steps. "Can we please talk?"

"I don't wanna talk." Simon said, burying his face further into Alec's chest.

"Simon I wanna talk-."

"He said he doesn't want to talk to you. So back off." Alec said, cutting Clary off.

She ignored him as she walked over and tried to reached over and grab Simon's arm.

"Hey!" Alec said loudly, slapping her hand away as he sat up. "What do you not get about back off."

"This is between me and Simon." She said.

Alec stood up as Simon said "Go away."

"Please Simon I love you." Clary pleaded.

"That's not what it seemed like last night." Alec said.

"Shut up Alec!" She snapped.

"Clary I said go away." Simon said now standing up. "I don't wanna talk to you."

She glared at Alec before scoffing and storming off.

Simon sighed and leaned face first in Alec's shoulder.

Alec wrapped his arms around Simon and pulled him back onto the couch. They stayed like that all day.
