Pax West Pt. 3

I watched all of the pretty city lights and crowds of people through the window, wondering where these guys were gonna take me. We pulled up to a different hotel building and all got out before following Mark.

"This hotels really nice man." Sean gazed around.

"Yeah, it cost a pretty penny for a week stay but it's definitely worth it." Mark waved at a few staff standing around.

We followed him into the elevator before he pushed the very last button. It took forever but we finally arrived to the very tippy top room that almost took up the entire floor.

"Welcome, to mi temporary casa!" He opened the door to a bunch of people talking and playing video games and some vlogging too. Sean walked in and I followed hesitantly, not recognizing most people.

"Hey Sean!!" A few people shouted from here and there around the room.

"Hey guys! I'd liked to introduce you to my friend (Y/N)!!" He stepped aside to reveal me cowering behind him. I waved timidly and tried to smile, but only a few people said quiet hello's before going back to their business. Although, I did notice a girl in the back sitting by herself staring intensely at Sean and I.

Mark stepped in front of us, "Well, there's video games there, a bar over there with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for your choosing, and a couple spare rooms down that hallway." He winked.

We looked at each other and shrugged before walking over to all of the so called "gamers" on the couch.

We watched for a minute before Sean called "We got the next round!" A couple people groaned but Sean and I only smiled, knowing there was a battle about to go down.

A couple minutes go by and it's finally our turn. We take the places of those that gamed before us. We scroll through the switch games and end up agreeing on Mario Kart. Sean chooses Toad and I choose Yoshi before we finally start on Rainbow Road, one of the ultimate challenges. The count down begins. 3... 2... 1... Go! Before we know it, we're racing around every corner, taking every shortcut we can. I grew up on Mario Kart so I know a lot of the extra areas. It comes down to the last lap. We're neck and neck, less than half a second apart bouncing back and forth between first and second. Right before the finish line, I hit him with the most strategic green shell I've ever thrown and slip into first place!

"Yes!! I did it!!" I celebrate for a second before looking over at Sean. Even though he lost, he's still smiling like the goofball he is.

"I've got to admit (Y/N), I underestimated you. Now I see your TRUE POWAA!" We both laugh as we get up and walk over to the bar and sit on one of the stools.

A younger looking kid comes walking around the counter, "Hey Ethan! What're you doing here?" Sean asks.

"Mark is paying me to make drinks, pretty sweet gig if you ask me" he chuckles, "Do you guys want something?"

"Yeah, can we just get two punches?" Sean points at the bowl labelled 'Non-Alcoholic Punch'.

"Sure thing!" Ethan pours us two cups and slides them across the table, spilling a little bit. "I still haven't gotten that part down." He laughs embarrassed. We grab them and get up, wandering around the place. Sean chugs his punch rather quickly while I only sip on it.

"This place is huge." I look around in awe.

"Yeah, Mark does this a lot. He likes to get everyone together to stay in touch." Sean walks a little farther ahead than me, "I gotta use the restroom, feel free to explore more of you want" he smiles at me and steps into the bathroom.

I walk around a little more, checking out some of the rooms with open doors. All of them look almost bigger than our room. I walk a little more down the hallway where there are some closed doors, and while I'm walking past the last one, it opens quickly and I get pulled in and shoved to the floor.

"Why are you with him?!?!" The girl that was staring at us from earlier yells at me, "You don't belong with him!! He's mine!!" She balls up her fists.

"I-I don't know... We haven't done anything I-I swear" I say defensively.

She laughs. "How could you not?! He's a beautiful irish god, he's perfect in every way!! He's absolutely captivating!!"

She got right above me and raised her fist "If I mess up that pretty- I mean ugly face even more, he'll be sure to come back to me!!"
